Wow this was great, got the audience and me laughing and also drawing their breath and even standing ovation at the end.
Funny yet thoughtful and will try and go again, which is a first for me.

From start to finish this was outstanding. The simple, yet brilliant set changes were satisfying. Maria (Gina Beck) is a joy. The Nuns are a sonorous and fantastically charismatic group. Well acted and even better singing. Truly astounding. My wife has sung and danced to the Sound of Music since she was a child in Lisbon, and adored the songs and the delivery. That was almost as much pleasure to behold as the cast's performance.
We had a family sitting near us who knew the child playing Marta. The children's, and their family commitment to this summer production is extraordinary.
When the Nazi symbols and flags darken the stage, the dread is there. Even the Nazi army men in the aisles add the terror.
We left overjoyed with this experience, and the cast deserved a resounding applause. They were all excellent.
It's a shame this isn't going to the West End. People would gladly pay and feel fully compensated for the experience.

Ok a rail strike on I got roped into driving to Chichester Festival Theatre for "Sound of Music".
First impression plenty of parking easy to find, straight away that is a good tick in the box.The theatre layout not your usual stage set up but it worked well as the performance goes on.toilets okay for us gents but ladies were queuing all in all a pleasant experience for a non regular theatre goer and sound of music was well performed too.

Went to Chichester festival theatre this afternoon to watch the sound of music. What a fantastic show. Well done to the cast and the children. They all done brilliant highly recommend show.

Sound of Music - Chichester Festival Theatre - treat yourself to a very pleasant evening. Although it is quite a long time time since its original showing, Chichester Festival Theatre have done an excellent job. Good scenery and well cast. Don't miss an opportunity to see a good show. Make a day of your visit to Chichester and have a pre-theatre dinner.

Best Theatre to see any genre of show from comedy to musicals there's not a bad seat in either theatre.

57 of us travelled 100 miles to watch The Sound of Music performed in thus wonderful venue.
I can’t praise this venue enough.

Absolutely stunning, a well deserved standing ovation. The cast were outstanding and the reverend mother and her nuns, including Maria, stole the show. What a production. The music was perfect. Wish we could go again tonight :)

Went to see Sound of Music. Really excellent performance. As usual at CFT, the seats and leg room were excellent and at very reasonable prices. CFT has become the home of musical theatre in England and it’s reputation is richly deserved. We are privileged to to have this wonderful theatre in West Sussex.

You pay up to 8.00pm be about 80p-£1 depending on when you arrive, thats northgate carpark by the theatre, take change

This varies with the production when scenery projects from one side on occasions. With some productions, sider seats furthest from the centre are not on sale, if this is considered to be a problem. 8+ seats in from the end should see you safe.
Is there a stage door and are you allowed to meet cast members?

HI yes, there is a stage door, but as to meeting cast members I am unsure. We have seen a few as they leave or meet family and friends in the foyer. Sorry not a great deal of help. Have fun when you visit.

It's a council car park and nothing to do with the theatre. It is a pay and display, even in the evening so be sure to display a ticket. Prices change upwards often so take plenty of change with you. Regards G

Hello,
I am not sure which show you are enquiring about, but we currently have two running. Half A Sixpence is 2 hours 45 minutes including one interval, FRACKED! is 2 hours 20 minutes including an interval.

I'm so sorry for the delay in replying to your question. I have recently taken over managing our Trip Advisor page and have only just discovered the question section.
An Ideal Husband was part of our season last year and we have no plans to revive it this year. You can see full details of what will be playing during your visit on our website. We have just announced a new production called Mrs Pat starring Penelope Keith which will be in our Minerva Theatre from 15th October-7th November.
