Having previously very much enjoyed Kanyus first three games we returned with high expectations for their new game - ‘Secret of the Leopard People’ and were not disappointed. The game has amazing set detail which is really excellently executed throughout as well as unique and perfectly themed puzzles.
With no screens or tradition padlocks and plenty of magic moments this a really immersive experience which I would
highly recommend.

We’ve done all three of the indoor escape rooms and the outside one, they are all fantastic. They are by far the best ones we’ve done anywhere, and we’ve done a lot 😂

My daughter and three friends visited for her birthday. They really enjoyed the Follow in my footsteps game. Excellent help and advice from Bob about the level of game that would suit them and throughout the game with prompts to move them on a bit. And very welcoming. An excellent experience.

Right from the start we were made to feel really relaxed & welcome! We had kids with us too and they were included in everything too! We did the outside escape and it was absolutely brilliant. The puzzles were aimed at all ages so everyone could participate. The host really got into the mood of it all and gave us just enough help to get through the rooms. Nothing felt too much trouble and the experience was great and will be remembered for a long time! Thank you all at Kanyu for a great afternoon… We’ll be back!

I have passed Kanyu so many times and always wondered what it was like. I was struggling for things to keep my two teenage boys (16 & 13) entertained during the summer holidays so decided to book The Secrets of the South Lodge escape room. It was absolutely brilliant fun. They got involved and it was great to find something we could all do together as a family. We didn't manage to escape but it was good to be shown the ending before we left. We'll definitely be back to try one of the other rooms.

Bob was really helpful and explained what to expect. We did the secret of the leopard people room which did not have clues like a “normal” escape room. It was great fun even though we did not escape. I would thoroughly recommend a visit

What a fantastic place! We were a party of five, ranging in age from 11 to 70s, with very limited experience of escape rooms. Two of the party had not done an escape room before and they really enjoyed it. We did the outdoor escape room, which is one of the easiest rooms. The puzzles were accessible enough for my 11 year old son to join in, but still challenging for the rest of us. There were lots of puzzles to solve and it took us about 90 minutes. The initial instruction was really clear and we were given just enough clues to keep us going and always at the right times. Wouldive to go back to do some of the indoor rooms. Thank you for a very enjoyable afternoon.

We did ‘follow in my footsteps’ as a party of 3. Me, my 11 year old sister and my Grandma. Me and my sister had done a few escape rooms before but my Grandma was a novice. Nevertheless, we all really enjoyed this escape :) There was a wide range of interesting puzzles to solve that all of us were able to have a good go at. Our games master Bob was really helpful and gave us some hints when we needed them to keep us on track. We did successfully escape in the end. Would definitely come again to try another escape game :)

Seven of us (6 adults and one 14 year old) had an amazing time here- it was our first time doing an escape room and it did not disappoint! We had such good fun working out all of the puzzles and it really got our brains working! We did the outside one but it is covered so is fine to do in the rain which it did for us. The staff were fabulous guiding us all the way and were really informative. A great experience was had by all and would definitely recommend. Thank you for a great time!!

Hi, I'm looking at booking for my daughters 10th birthday, and notice the only age suitable room is outside and we can't be sure of weather this far ahead. Do you still run this room if it's raining and would it severely impact on enjoyment?

Hey Rob, I'm soooo sorry not to have responded to your question, and it'll all be too late now I'm sure. That said, where there is any dwell time (i.e. where the are puzzles), the game is under cover, but it's necessary to flit from one puzzle area to another, so it's a good idea to dress for the weather.
TA used to send an email when new questions and reviews appeared - but no longer and I fear I've only just checked for both after several weeks without doing so.

Hi there, we want to try these escape rooms but don't have a car. I can get to the location pretty easily by bus and a short walk, but notice that it's in the middle of a roundabout. Is it safe to cross the traffic on foot?

Hi and thank you for your inquiry. You can cross the roundabout (many have). There's a footpath that runs along the north side of the roundabout (if walking between Wetherby and Boston Spa) from which you can cross - though clearly with caution as the roundabout can be busy with traffic.
