My twin brother Stephen and I were hitting the pubs around the wonderful Granary Wharf area and dropped into The Midnight Bell Pub and what a great find.
Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here ,a wonderful light and airy interior, traditional decor and furnishings including some original features of the pub retained such as the splendid looking fireplaces, tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside in their beer garden.
We were here on a Wednesday evening, we ordered a pale ale each from Ilkley Brewery, these were served in excellent condition, we jumped kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub.
My pale ale was really good, a crisp, well balanced pale ale with a big hit of hops, hints of citrus and a delicious aroma and aftertaste, on a hot evening a totally refreshing brew in a first class pub.
We both really enjoyed our pale ale's in here, only stayed for the one each before moving on and for a first time visit to The Midnight Bell Pub we had a great time
The Midnight Bell Pub is an easy pub to find along Water Lane.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Thursday, 11am till 11pm.
Friday & Saturday, 11am till Midnight.
Sunday, 11am till 11pm.
A great pub, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

It was just OK. Was quite looking forward to visiting after checking out the website and looking forward to some good food as they pitch themselves as a gastro pub.
The welcome was non existent, I know things are a bit different in these crazy covid times but a friendly hello rather than a luke warm "Yeah!" still goes a long way.
Table service after we were seated was excellent though attentive and quick. The food however was not great. I had fish and chips and they were very greasy and my wife had a burger that was so flame grilled it was burnt in places. Not really gastro pub quality and not even good pub grub quality
Not sure we will be rushing back anytime soon.

We came for the quiz and had a great time. Could have started sooner to be honest but the quiz master was amazing funny and patient would definitely recommend well done.

Brought my parents & 3 older sisters who were all visiting me in Leeds for Sunday Lunch.
Service was fantastic, staff extremely helpful & food was delicious.

This is a nice pub in many ways. Lots of beer choice and a pleasant building. During the week it tends to be full of local professionals from the surrounding agencies-so expect a few hipsters. It can feel pretty crowded after work hours. During the summer it has a good vibe out the back.
The food is solid but I have one major complaint the chips that come with the burgers are just too big. They are not chips. Not even wedges. They were almost quarters of a potato. As a result they are too solid. A chip must be crispy on the outside fluffy in the middle. These weren't even close to that. Please, rethink your chips!
A great place to meet before a Leeds game, though.

Went for dinner with some friends and ordered a trout salad (ironically the dish pictured on their page). On ordering we were not warned that there would be a long wait. The food took almost an hour to arrive, and when it did my "salad" consisted of 2-3 soggy bits of lettuce, the trout and some potatoes. The menu had promised an egg and some green beans. This for £12.50.
When I complained they were more concerned about moving me away from the bar so that other customers wouldn't hear than dealing with my complaint. I was not offered a discount or refund, nor did I receive an apology. It took a further 15 minutes to produce a salad that at least had the advertised ingredients.
On a previous occasion, we went for lunch during a work event. We pre-ordered, and were clear at the outset that we needed the food ready at a specific time. It wasn't. Given the high prices, the service simply isn't good enough.
Save yourself the hassle and go to the Cross Keys, Boathouse or Northern Monk instead, all of which are excellent and within 2 minutes walk.

Visited the Bell a couple of times in the last months. The service, atmosphere and drinks are always of great quality. It’s a great place to relax and in a nice area Leeds. The young manager is a credit to team, as are all the team very efficient and unflappable and can’t do enough for you.

Match day visit so very busy. However staff were attentive and service good. Drinks acceptable if not outstanding but cold. A tad pricey in my opinion at £5 per pt of lager.

I have found my new local! The Sunday dinners are to die for & they also let dogs in which is amazing. The staff are really polite & attentive also they offered my dog some left over beef ❤️
