The best pub in headingley, really good environment and the pints are great, staff were really nice and helpful especially a lad called joe !

I hadn't been in The Original Oak for about 15 years, but it has certainly not improved during that time. I can understand why they'd sacrifice everything to the student shilling, but unless you're on the Otley Run, or want to watch sport outside, this is no longer a nice pub to visit.

I would rate this 0 stars if I could. Bar staff were very rude, a power trip obviously passed on from the bouncers. Very looked down upon from all staff, avoid at all costs !!! Phoenix security, very known for being very racist, homophobic and sexist, and they lived up to that reputation!
First of all they asked to search bags, fair enough, standard procedure, when they progressed onto insisting on searching purses/wallets is when I began to question their authority? Since when was this legal without cause? It isn’t if you were wondering, but as 5 young females who felt intimidated by the overpowering bouncers we all begrudgingly did it only to find out it is completely illegal! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

Came for otley run and this is a pub to avoid. Bouncers are rude and invasive. Female behind the bar was rude and we were told off for being in a certain part of pub when no signage to notify us. Avoid at all costs

Served and welcomed by Adam, we and my friends came to the original oak for a birthday and had the best time ever.
Adam was really helpful and the whole pub is a really positive atmosphere.
The pub also has a massive beer garden for when the sun comes out, the food is also really nice.
I will definitely be returning.
