We did the 45 min boat trip from Runnymede. It was a lovely relaxing trip. We enjoyed the scenery and spotting some of the landmarks from the boat. We hadn't realised that you can take the boat from either of the car parks at Runnymede as it stops at both.

A peaceful informative ride on the Thames. I went on the 40 minute ride and sat behind the 'driver'. He was happy to chat while we waited. The commentary talks about points of interest and there is a nice spot to take a photo of the castle.
Refreshments are available and the staff are not pushy about selling them.

Booked a 2 hour boat trip with afternoon tea as part of my wife’s 60th birthday celebration. The crew were great. Very friendly and the commentary was informative. However, the tea was slightly disappointing. Firstly the website says the sandwiches are ham salad and cheese salad. However, there was also egg and cress, plus smoked salmon and cucumber. I appreciate I’m complaining about a wider selection of food, but in case of allergies or preferences the website should be accurate. Secondly, some of the sandwiches were starting to get stale. I recognise that there are no facilities on the boat to make the sandwiches fresh, so use cling film or foil.
Overall a nice trip with just a couple of areas for improvement.

We booked a 40 min river boat cruise online for 2 adults, a 4 year old and a 2 year old. We purposely booked on a Tuesday as Windsor Castle is closed and we thought it would be quiet. It was. We parked a short walk away as the riverside car park is often rammed. We arrived for 11.30 and there was a boat ready to go. We had the buggy in tow and it was absolutely no problem. There was plenty of space to park it on the bottom level as it had no passengers. We sat at a table at the front of the boat and the kids absolutely loved seeing all the birds and other boaters. The audio guide was great, giving you a nice history of the area without any issues with the sound. The staff were all really friendly. It was under £30 for all of us to take the boat - which started the day beautifully. It’s not a sightseeing tour - so if you’re expecting to ‘see all the sights’ you should likely walk. You get a great view of the castle, which is the main attraction anyways! It’s a relaxing was to take in some of the local history while cruising down the river. At the price, it’s something fun to do with the kids any time we’re in Windsor. If your expectations are set, it’s a really great experience that lasts just long enough that the kids stay interested.

Whilst we only took a short 40 min trip is was very relaxing and a great way to travel on the river and hear some interesting facts. Highly recommend

If you are thinking about treating yourself to a boat trip with French Brothers Ltd - Boat cruises at Windsor, Runnymede and Maidenhead don't bother!
Had tickets booked for today, not ideal weather, but we turned up anyway as had no contact from them to say it was cancelled .Waiting for the boat that never turned up, still no contact from them even though they had our number and email. Eventually got hold of them through FB messenger as they weren't answering the three numbers we had for them.
Their response to my message was "call the office on Monday for a refund". No apology or anything.
Awful service and won't bother wasting my time using them again, and just wanted to warn others. I'm sure some people have had a good experience, but unfortunately that wasn't the case today.
If I could give it a rating of zero I would have.

Whilst our skipper did his best to keep everyone entertained with interesting facts and quips the bottom line is that the trip whilst having a few great views of Windsor Castle was a bit of a let down. We spent almost an hour in the first lock so actually time traveling on the river was half an hour either way which was disappointing. If I had known that the lock would occupy half of our trip I wouldn’t have booked it. It was boring queuing then waiting in lock without seeing anything. I had two American guests and it was a disappointing experience albeit relaxing.

Lovely 40 minute round trip to the lock and back. Great commentary with some really useful facts about the area. Would have been good to know it’s cash only on the boat before we boarded.

Had an excellent stream boat ride down the river Thames from Windsor to Runnymede
Took about 1 hour 30 mins lovely peaceful and great scenery, the crew of the boat were excellent and very helpful throughout,

Very wet June day but never put us off the trip
Reasonably priced and staff very helpful . Shame we could net get closer to the castle for a view from the river otherwise would recommend.
