We had tried to visit to see Beyond the Barricades, make an advance booking. Sold out!! But staff put me on the cancellation list.Sure enough I received a phone call on the morning of the show.
Simply stunning, we thoroughly enjoyed the production. The artistes were wonderful, started with Les Miserables and finished with it!
The whole production was professional, emotional and thought provoking.
It is a beautiful theatre, well worth a visit, the staff are very helpful indeed and knowledgable.
Thanks to to them and the production they have made an old man very happy!!

Our 15th year of watching Theatre Royal's wonderfully traditional and mayhemic Pantomime! The cast, as ever, were brilliant - and the crazy antics, great mix of song and dance and humour, not forgetting the antics of the 12 Days... suited all our family - from teens to mid-eighties! If you can't laugh at the Panto slapstick then there's something seriously wrong! ... also - must mention the front of house staff, who are all excellent... we're pretty much regulars to the theatre and the security boys, box office team and others always acknowledge us with a warm welcome back and a friendly reception. Well done Theatre Royal Windsor - keep up the great mix of shows, and outstanding service!

Absolutely fantastic. Year after year, a high energy, side splitting performance! The cast & crew put on a fantastic performance every year, but it’s even funnier when one of them has a moment!
This has become a family tradition (kids are now young adults and their boyfriends now join us).
Can’t wait for Cinderella and the ‘12 days of Xmas!’

A friend and I took our daughters, honestly it was so much fun. We clapped til our hands hurt, sang along and whooped and boo'd at all the right times (ish). The absolute best bit is the 12 days of Christmas. We have been several times and I think it's wonderful. Takes me back to the pantos of my childhood.
We all thought it was marvellous, honestly the seats were fabulous too.
The whole cast and production, the flying turtle, the fairy godmother was hilarious and as for Kevin Cruise and Steven Blakeley well truly brilliant, I hope this team keep going for many pantos to come. It’s 1st class it really is.

I went with my wife, my daughter-in-law and her 6 year old child on Saturday 28th December.
I have to say it was literally the worst most puerile piece of rubbish I have ever seen. You may say "Oh no it wasn't!" But I can assure you that Oh yes it was!
First of all there was virtually no story, the whole thing acted as a vehicle for hideous music, loads of shouting from some awful person called Kevin Cruise and Basil Brush (is he still alive?) and lots of tedious "comedy" innuendo about things like the length of sausages etc.
I looked across at our 6 year old guest and even she didn't seem to be enjoying it either!
However, there were people "enjoying" it. For example there was a group of five 30 and 40 somethings sat behind us WITH NO CHILDREN and mysteriously they were screaming, clapping and whooping hysterically at the slightest lame joke. Now I wonder why??? And great whoops and cheers were also coming from the back of the circle. Could it be they were friends of the cast or, more likely, planted there by the management to "get things going"?
Suspiciously, one of whooping group slipped away quietly to an unoccupied row of seats and started tapping at his laptop. Who brings a laptop to a pantomime on a Saturday night?
And was it really appropriate to have Phillipino man play Dick Whittington?
The only good things I can say is that "Dick Whittington" was pretty good vocalist, there were a couple of decent songs such as Miley Cyrus's "Flowers' and there was a great illusion of a flying turtle. Otherwise, I simply couldn't wait for it to finish.

Well looked after by the staff from start to finish. I had knowingly booked a box, and once in situ was able to assess the best seating arrangements for four people. The staff were extremely helpful to give us the best experience. A huge thank you to the duty manager in particular for making us feel as comfortable as possible and really allowing us to sit back and just enjoy the show.
Steven Blakeley and Kevin Cruise are like the R2D2 and C3-PO of Panto in Windsor - they’ve seen everything, done everything and kept everything moving forward - in the lightest, brightest way they know how to.
Great to see some of the use of tech to bring the show to a younger audience too.
Thank you Team Theatre Royal.

This panto has to be the best so far. Each year it gets funnier. Talula the cat was magnificent. Kevin Cruise and Stephen Blakeley stole the show once again with the adorable Basil Brush. BOOM BOOM BASIL.
It was that good I might just have to go again!

This review is in my opinion
An honest appraisal
Sat near to the front to watch a performance that frankly you’d gain more enjoyment of watching a painted wall dry whilst listening to the Archers on the radio.
I contacted the Theatre to raise a complaint and they basically quoted the marketing literature “radio show” as if this was a good enough reason for it to be a drab performance.
I love Michael Praed as an actor but even he seemed bored as he appeared to take a power nap during the performance (and not as part of the performance either) .
It was the last night of the “show” so one can only assume that the cast were possibly finding it as dreary as the restless audience appeared,. This was reinforced by the multiple evacuation of seats at the interval. The couple directly beside us made a very honest appraisal using slightly more choice words (which I won’t add on here) but to the effect of “what a load of codswallop”. Whilst I myself may have chosen different words the couple directly in front of them concurred and we found it hard to Inject positivity to their sentiment as it was a very honest and In my opinion an on point appraisal.
Whilst Windsor is a beautiful place to visit , dining off the tailcoats of the Royal
Family whilst charging an audience for a performance that was as dull as dishwater in my book is daylight robbery.
Whilst I appreciate all Theatre productions and the different styles of acting, sadly this was somewhat disappointing to see the usually talented actors endorsing this production by featuring in it.
For Scrooges nephew to get on the stage at the end promoting the pantomime was quite comical effectively asking us all to come back for entertainment, as if they knew this was something the performance before us failed to achieve. Asking the audience to sing Christmas Carols at the end was not festive it was bizarre. The best bit of the show was the end so we could be respectful and leave.
The most festive part was the Windsor wonderland before the show commenced (nothing directly to do with the theatre) and the Xmas lights which were in the Streets surrounding.
I wish I’d read a review like this before pressing “pay now” when contemplating ordering tickets as I’d be £55 better off !!

Visited this theatre to see Filumena which was very enjoyable. The theatre itself is traditional but has quite comfortable seats with some at the end of the rows having massive leg room. The place is a bit faded around the edges with narrow access but it is historic. I would certainly return.

Does anyone know if there is restricted viewing from the Royal Box at Theatre Royal Windsor? Also which box is it as there are 4 boxes. Is it the lower or higher level box?

Hi, does anyone have insight on what the view is from the “on stage ticket” spots and Circle row J ? Thanks!

I am thinking of booking tickets for a show in row B of the stalls near the stage. I am 6 feet tall and my wife is 5 feet tall. Would the view be OK for us?

Not much legroom for me and I'm only 5ft 6 so an aisle seat is the best bet I reckon.

Hi, We are at the theatre tonight "Dusty". First time for us so have looked at the photos which look lovely. However, I have noticed there are no pictures of the Bar for drinks. I take it there is one?.

Hi, Sorry for the delay but your question has only just come through to us. No doubt you have found that we do have a Stalls bar and Coffee Lounge and on busy shows the Circle bar is also opened.

Hi I've booked 2 seats for Swan Lake in row D15 & D16 front stalls thinking these were good seats but now notice 'Royal Seats' seem better. It's the first time I've taken my granddaughter to the theatre and want her to have a good experience with good views. Are the seats I booked ok?
撰写日期:2017年3月16日
Hello! Thank you for your message. Could you please call our Box Office on 01753 853888 and they will be able to advise on the best seats available. We look forward to seeing you at the theatre.
Kind regards,
The TRW Team
