As a confirmed, do-it-myself travel planner, I was astounded by the brilliance of CJP Tours. Having a private guide is the absolute best way to see the Cotswolds. Of course we could plan the trip ourselves, but why? Having a driver with an insider’s knowledge and a keen sense of what we’d love to see was a true delight. This is the absolute best way to go. Our driver, Ian, was easy to be with, very knowledgeable, and was a quick study to know what would suit us best. Our tailored-to-us tour was the absolute best experience; we couldn’t recommend this more highly.

Chris and his team were amazing, wonderful booking system all done online with a bespoke itinerary sent via a pdf made everything so much more streamlined, a special shout out to Sarah, very responsive via email. The tour itself was very detailed and personalised to you. Highly recommended !!!

My husband and I booked a private tour of the Costwolds through Chris who was very helpful in planning everything so we could do as much as possible in two days. We initially stayed in Broadway and toured the north Cotswalds on 1st day and then the south Cotswolds on the 2nd day. It was absolutely perfect. Our driver, Andy, was very knowledgeable and pleasant and made suggestions as we travelled. We planned it so we ended up in Bath at end of 2nd day and stayed there before heading into London. Highly recommend.

We booked a private tour to the Cotswolds with CJP and we were not disappointed! Our awesome driver/guide, Tony, picked us up at our London hotel and we began our amazing day. Tony was not only knowledgeable about the Cotswolds, but everything England. We stopped at a tavern in the countryside for lunch that was terrific and the owner was wonderful. We then continued the tour through more of the picturesque villages before Tony dropped us off at our hotel in Broadway. If you only have a few days to enjoy the Cotswolds, I highly recommend taking this tour!

Andy, you’re the man !!! We absolutely loved our tour, the history, your humor and easy nature. We could not have been more comfortable. The stop choices were spot on from the pubs, to the lunch restaurant…..even the churches 😂. (Father Brown Rules). Thank you and we will definitely look you up on our return. Btw… did you hear that Biden dropped out ?

Our tour in the Cotswolds was everything we were hoping for. Our questions were answered immediately by Chris and Ruth contacted us for payment and to confirm our pickup and driver information. Trevor, our tour guide arrived exactly on time and we discussed what we were interested, and most importantly, not interested in seeing. We toured fantastic churches and neighborhoods with amazing architecture, saw beautiful views, and lavender fields. We had a beer at a local brewery and a nice lunch in a village pub. Trevor was extremely knowledgeable in not only the area, but the history of all things cotswold and more. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much for making our trip so memorable.

Our driver knew the best stops and the ones that are too crowded. We had the same driver for 3 days and that was a bonus as we discussed our desires and he tailored our Cotswold experience to see everything we wanted. He was a great driver and we could have never driven the narrow roads.

Susie was an absolutely fantastic tour guide. She made the tour work for us, knew so much about the region, and was able to show us different details and out-of-the-way places. Her personability, and willingness to flex the tour details around so we could spend more time at a location and less time at another made the tour a stand-out among all the tours we took on our trip. Thank you, Susie, and thank you, CJP Cotswold Tours!

We had an amazing trip in the Cotswolds with Andy as our guide! He found a way to fit in the many sights we wanted to see plus many extra surprises. We loved hearing his stories and history about each of the villages. One of the places we visited was Highclere Castle from Downton Abbey fame and then the next day Andy took us to Bampton (the village used for filming Downton Abbey) where we had a great time walking around town, having lunch on the park bench and hearing more about the area. As we traveled throughout the Cotswolds, Andy provided us with so much more info than we would have ever gained if traveling on our own. We really enjoyed the conversation as we safely traveled the winding roads of the Cotswold countryside. It was wonderful to sit back and enjoy and not stress about finding our way. Thank you!
We are also thankful to Ruth and Chris in working out the details in advance regarding the additional tickets and timing for the places we wanted to visit. This took extra coordination on their part and we appreciate their efforts. They customized everything to our interests and needs. We are so glad we booked with CJP Tours and are very lucky to have had Andy as our guide. We highly recommend them!

Hi, We are two senior visiting our adult children in London at the end of October.
We would like to visit the Cotswolds and Oxford leisurely for one day ( Sunday, Oct 27) We will be staying in London and returning the same evening. Can you message me about what would be the best way to do this. I can walk but have a 53 lb mobility scooter that folds up and can go into the trunk of a car.
