The ride from Glasbury to St Mary's was worth every ounce of perspirations and effort. Absolutely beautiful place. We went on a Friday and the chapel was being prepared for a wedding and was starting to look stunning. Spectacular scenery on route is a bonus. A must to visit.

I had been here many years ago and was pleased to see it was as I had remembered. However, I wasn't too sure about the numerous teddies partying on the front pew. I'm all for making children welcome but the number of teddies would be thrice the average of human attendees at a normal service. That apart, this is a delightful place ful of history and peace.

We were recommended this site by the Tourist Information shop in Crickhowell, and were dry pleased we were.
Quite a difficult drive along narrow one track roads, but didn't give us any real problems.
Very small chapel with sufficient parking outside, we didn't know what to expect when we went inside.
It really is a delight, very small, but lovely stained glass windows and a display of stuffed toys.
Well worth the effort of getting there

So unusual, with a shed for the parson's pony at the back. It was the chapel used by the infamous Father Ignacious, who 'peopled this remote valley with his children'.

Not enough to warrant a one off visit unless you have a particular interest in such buildings - but what a sweet & unusual little chapel.
Also, go through the wide gate and down the track to the river and another chapel/graveyard.
Include as part of a walk, taking in other sites (e.g. Llanthony Priory) - although I wouldn't recommend walking the roads (narrow, high hedgerows) - or as we did, as part of a day's 3Hs tour to various other sites

Stopped here on a sunny early Spring drive from Hay to Llantony Priory. What an absolute gem! Tiny, but so very beautiful: I especially loved the teddy bears, and the appropriately-inscribed East Window, and the date on the back of the pew, and the font cover, and the gallery, and....
A pretty little place from the outside in a lovely setting, but open the door .... so simple, so beautiful, so peaceful, it almost made me cry.

Well worth a visit this charming and evocative chapel positively reeks of simple times gone past when the whole community would meet on a Sunday for worship. It nestles in peace below a ridge in a quiet small farming community. If you are in the area either walking Offa’s Dyke path or not afraid of driving down narrow country roads make the effort.

Well worth a visit, preferably on foot by descending from the Offa's Dyke ridge. This really has an end of the world feeling. The tiny chapel is a quiet "thin place" to sit and contemplate life. Look out for the Robert "mouseman" Thompson font lid, and the east window with its quote from Psalm 121 "I will lift up my eyes unto the hills. From whence cometh my help?" Fantastic old yew trees in the churchyard.
