u can swim naked in the lake in away from crowds it just unnoustedgo were it is quite and enjoy the lake

Wow this lake is beautiful, mountains, water sports, wild swimming cafes, car parks, free toilets. I’ll never tire of the view over to the castle

Beautiful lake with plenty of spaces to enjoy. Water activities are available for hire. There is also a steam train that runs around the outside.

Beautiful lake surrounded by spectacular mountain views, the slate museum and its workings, still exposed, Peris Reservoir and Llanberis itself. There is always something going on here. Paddle boarders, rowers, kayakers, swimmers, paddlers, nature galore. We had great fun swimming and kayaking. A great way to spend a day in Llanberis.

Beautiful lake, great for SUP. Parked for free, easy launching, outstanding scenery. Highly recommended.

Parking free for disabled or five quid all day. Twenty five quid kayaking hire for 3 hours . Steam train journey ,an hour long up and down the lake is twenty six pound per compartment which fits six but ideally four. On site cafe . Toilets on car park . Free admission to the musuem part, lots of interesting sheds with slate things. We watched a 15 nin show on slate and cutting it and what its used for. Interesting. Small kids play area and a second cafe. Quarry hospital closed atm . Boats on the lake werent open for hire and dont know why as noone to ask. Electric mountain closed but bonus is free parking outside with no restrictions .

What a beautiful place to go and with free parking!!
We had a day trip with the kids paddle boarding and kayaking in the most perfect place.
There are toilet facilities, easy access to the lake, free parking and a cafe within walking distance. Plenty of people brought their own BBQs which is allowed so long as you dispose it after use.
Great for a family day out.
Can't recommend this stunning place enough.

We were looking for a relatively easy walk around the lake as we have two 12 year old dogs. We were advised that the walk would be no trouble and that it would take approx 2 hours. We set off towards the bottom of the lake on the Llanberis side and whilst it was flat there wasn't much view of the lake. When we reached the bottom end we set off along the other side only to find we were walking on a road heading quite a way from the lake with not many views of it and going along way uphill. It took a lot longer than expected and the post markers are quite difficult to locate in the woods. We won't be recommending it as an easy stroll. Be prepared for a hike!

It took us about 15 minutes if that from the parking lot at the side of the lake. If it's rainy, I'd get really good shoes, as the water does collect around the lake there in huge puddles.

There are picnic benches between the car park and the lake. This is a grassy area and to the side of this a small jetty to enter safely. We saw swimers. As to whether its OK I am so sorry but I can't say?

Yeah there’s a few. The circumference of Llyn Padarn is approx 5 miles if you follow the railway track. However you can cut through the woods or the road to Fachwen and back down to the Llyn or go up to bus stop quarry and cut through the quarry on the zig zags paths. Lots of different routes from 5 to 9 miles. It’s hard to get lost around there to be honest, enjoy 🙂

You can walk all the way around the lake, I live here and do it on a regular basis. You can walk round both lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris, which is a 9 mile walk. There are a number of routes however my favourite is through the quarry between the lakes. If you need anymore information let me know, kind regards 🙏

Can you take canoes out on the lake? And if you can you launch from? Can you hire boats if don’t take your own? Thanks

Yes you can take canoes, kayaks and SUPS out all round the lake, the lagoons are a popular place to launch however you can launch anywhere around the lake and yes you can hire kayaks and SUPS @ Snowdonia water sports shop....so plenty to do!
