I have always wanted to walk behind a waterfall James gave me that opportunity - and so much more. He made the whole trip enjoyable and interesting due to his extensive knowledge, and his care and guidance enabled us to challenge ourselves and achieve things we wouldn’t have thought possible. An all round amazing experience trip

Had a brilliant afternoon touring the brecon beacons on the trike. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Amazing day trip to surround yourself with the nature and scenery. Breathtaking and worth the climb to spend some time on the Pen Y fan. Explore the beautiful views across the mountain. If you’re lucky the weather will go good. Would definitely recommend and would definitely do it again. Everyone you meet along the way is so friendly you end up encouraging each other to make it to the top. If you want to get to know yourself this is one of the ways to do it. Giving yourself a challenge and goal is so exciting. You definitely feel the adrenaline the whole way through. You definitely go through all the emotional, physically and mentally for three mins and body. Was definitely worth the wait was supposed to go last year March but due to Covid 19 had to be cancelled.

Absolutely fantastic day with James on the Heart of the Park & Waterfalls tour. James is a wonderful guide with a passion for the area and its history. He tailored the tour to suit both the weather and our fitness levels without skimping on anything! Amazing views, gorgeous waterfalls, lovely lunch and plenty of laughs. A very special day in our week’s holiday to this lovely area.

Myself and some brothers decided to camp on site not too far from the waterfalls, we spent two glorious days (thought not at first) exploring the waterfall tours and some of the national park. We didn't go with a tour guide as we were camping, so it made sense to do it at our own time and we spent an enjoyable amount of time walking around the park enjoying the views and splashing/diving away in the waterfalls (when possible). A great experience with some wonderful views along the way, with some awesome friends. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

The Best of Both Worlds walking tour with James was a great way to experience Brecon Beacons. James is very knowledgeable about the area and has a wealth of interesting stories to tell you on the way - from his family history to geology of the area to travel stories from other parts of the world. The tour itself takes you to two fantastic waterfalls and the highest peaks with amazing views, with a picnic lunch in the middle. We really enjoyed our day out in the national park and would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique experience of Brecon Beacons

There are many places to visit in the Brecon Beacons. The owner and guide, James, grew up in the area, lives there now, and has family connections to the area going back generations. Plus he is a geologist. He is a wonderful guide. He was also willing to be flexible in planning a day trip that met our specific needs. I highly recommend him.

I booked two tours with James Cresswell, who runs Brecon Beacon tours - the Heart of the park and waterfalls tour one day and the Pen Y Fan + Corn Ddu walk another day. I was with my husband and 13 year old son. We simply loved it.
James is way beyond an ordinary guide. His family is local to the area for hundreds of years, he has conducted expeditions to the Antarctic and Arctic and he is a trained geologist. Naturally, a trip under his care is totally safe, very informative and enjoyable.
James picked us up both days from near our accommodation - which is what we requested. The first day, he drove us to the waterfalls and even took us behind them!!! That was so incredibly exciting and I would have never managed without his help.
The second day, James drove us to the common starting point and then walked us up Pen Y Fan (the second highest peak in Wales) and Corn Ddu, which is next to it. He also showed us the gorgeous lakes visible en route. It was a truly amazing experience.
What was really special about these tours is how James judged our needs and quietly customised the tour, while offering us clear choices all the time. During the tour, he was kind, considerate and reliable all the time.
And did I mention the delicious sandwiches and generous lunch bag he includes in the price?
Truly, if you are visiting Brecon Beacons, get in touch with James!

A group of us went with James on a hike to see the best waterfalls. It was a beautiful walk. Very well organised. James was lovely - very informative and had lots of interesting stories! The walk wasn't difficult at all. Would definitely recommend it to anyone
