Did the masterclass presentation & tour. I did this a couple of years ago at the Brecon distillery but I thought this presentation was even better. Our guide & presenter "Lauren" knew the lot, no question unanswered.
It really is a brilliant 3 hours and funny how as the time goes on & the whisky is flowing all the participants open up and have a laugh, highly recommended

A fantastic location, history and experience, the ladies running the experience were absolutely lovely and very knowledgeable, not only about whisky or Penderyn but local and national history and culture too!
Whether you are a whisky buff or simply love history I would heartily recommend visiting the guys onsite.

The Master Class at the Penderyn Distillery in Swansea's Hafod Copperworks was nothing short of a fabulous afternoon for us. Lauren, our host for the event, was fantastic and made us feel comfortable from the outset (we were two of eight in the class). She led us down a path that was hugely informative (I didn't know 90% of what she told us, even though I am fairly local and an occasional whiskey drinker myself), full of fun (we were all fairly garrulous by the end of it and swapping notes), and made us feel that our opinion mattered on every subject. Hugely impressed, and it was was the best value for money that I could have wished for. Absolutely superb. Lauren is not what you might expect of a whiskey expert and connoisseur on first impressions, but she surely is, and in being so she opened my eyes to a lot of things, has my full respect, and challenged me on several levels. By heck does she know her stuff. She deserves a gold medal and is a superb ambassador for Penderyn. I take my hat off to her.

Had an amazing afternoon at the Copperworks Penderyn Distillery for a Masterclass with the awesome Lauren. Her knowledge and passion for this delicious whisky is of highest order, I'd highly recommend booking with her.
We had a great experience and tasted some great wee drams, whilst having a fantastic insight into the history and future of our Welsh Whisky

The tour of the distillery was so informative and really focused on the history of Wales. Would definitely recommend!!

I went with my Son in Law for n what was a fully attended Master Class of 16 people. A mix of ages and gender, also some who did not like whiskey and others who do. What an excellent, value for money experience it was. It lasted three hours and started by introducing us all to flavours by using our small and having to name them. No pressure, all fun. It went on to explain how to small, taste and look for the ‘legs’. We had a tour of the Copper Works, including the buildings original history and how vital it was to the establishment of copper and electricity. In bar area we became aware of the different barrel types used before again trying different ‘tots’ of whiskey.
What a fantastic experience it was. I would highly recommend to anyone, whiskey drinker or not

Did the whisky masterclass and it was fantastic. Very knowledgeable host and lovely whisky to try. Learnt a lot about the distilling process and great to see a heritage building put back to use

Fantastic experience doing the masterclass. Guided expertly by Michael who blended great knowledge with humour during our tour and tasting. Time to browse the shop during and after also. Plenty of opportunity to ask questions and learn about Welsh whisky, the copper works and what penderyn has to offer. Tasting of 5 penderyns plus additional tasting to appreciate the barrels influence on flavour. Beautiful building also.

This experience was bought as a Christmas present by our daughter.
On arrival warmly greeted by our guide Stella.
The buildings ,layout and information given throughout the tour was exceptional. Most importantly imparted with fun . No lectures here !!! The tastings/sampling were generous! All in all a brilliant 2.5 hours. Thoroughly recommended.
