Nice place.ticks all the boxes. Stayed the night seeing family. Nice place .very comfortable. The rooms and the restaurant was roasting. Heating a big high. Food was lovely.
Only complaint was the female member of the bar staff. I think she had worked all Christmas as she looked like she had had enough. 2 officous .thank god she is off next week lol

Well worth a visit to the Abbey 14 th century building .There is a lot of history attracted to this building ,so if you like history ,do pay a visit to the Abbey .

Good local pub with reasonable prices on draught beers and spirits. Always a friendly welcome from Steve the owner.

This is the second time I’ve visited this pub in the past two years and the staff and customers are some of the most hospitable and friendly people I have met. Steve the landlord is very witty and friendly to all his customers new and old. After playing a game of pool with my friend two of the pubs local customers, including the landlord’s son played a game of pool with us and even let us use their very expensive pool cues. There was a birthday party in full swing to which we were invited to join in the festivities and invited to share their buffet meal that was laid on for the birthday girl! All in all a very positive and friendly atmosphere and a welcoming and friendly staff and local customers.
