So this was an interesting experience of two halves really. Imagine balancing your food, wine and cup of tea whilst travelling over cobbled streets in a very old bus with bad suspension. It certainly made for a bit of fun, although we were relieved that none of our food or drink ended up all over us like some of the other passengers. The cakes were absolutely fresh and scrumptious; the curly sandwiches and appetisers sadly quite the opposite, so they were fast abandoned in favour of the sweeter treats. There was no tour guide, which we were a bit disappointed about, and the service was not the best - almost comical. But it was a pleasurable way to spend 90 minutes, especially if you like juggling your drinks!

This was absolutely brilliant, the staff were amazing and the whole experience was just lush! Would recommend to anyone! We did with a group of girls but would also recommend for families. Lovely experience for everyone xxx

If you want to treat yourself to something special, I'd highly recommend booking a tour with Helen. She can customize the day (or days) according to your interests. Even though I'd traveled to Scotland many times, Helen took me to places I'd never seen before and would not have seen if I had booked the day with a large tour group. She is knowledgeable, personable and her love for Scotland is apparent. The day I spent with Helen was one of the highlights of my trip!

Helen did a fantastic job in planning and coordinating our Scotland vacation for my wife and me and two other couples. We accomplished everything we wanted to do including golf, hiking and visiting scotch distilleries. Helen also arranged the transportation, first class accommodations and wonderful meals! I would recommend Helen to anyone who wants a terrific tour of Scotland.

As I listen to Duncan Chisholm, a wonderful Scottish musician Helen (Afternoon Tea Tours) introduced us to, I must write a review of our experience with her. Thank goodness she is not a “tour company”. She is a native who desires to introduce travelers to a country that she deeply loves and knows a great deal about. You let her know your wishes and something about yourself and she will put together a day or two...or as many as you would like...and your time with her promises to be memorable. For us it included golf for my husband, a visit to St. Andrews and the beautiful town, a wonderful lunch in the country, an afternoon tea in a lovely manor home lodge, walking around town and visiting shops, a drive around Edinburgh and learning so much about the city and the land...and much more. We need to go back! Thank you so much, Helen, for your hospitality. If you’re visiting Scotland, I recommend you check out Afternoon Tea Tours.

Helen carefully planned every part of our journey, taking into account that we were traveling with our 6-year-old son and that this was our first trip to Scotland. She truly knows her stuff and kept us engaged during our one-day journey around Perthshire, pointing out landmarks and filling us in on interesting historical facts that we wouldn't have learned elsewhere. The waterfall at the Hermitage, the magnificent Queen's View, the unforgettable Blair Castle - all experiences that my family will cherish, thanks to Helen!

Without a doubt, Helen is one of the best guides we've ever had. She has a genuine talent for quickly understanding what you're passionate about and what you value from a tour. We honestly felt like part of her family for the entire day as we traveled around Edinburgh, Stirling, and the Trossachs. Scotland should be proud to have a cultural ambassador as thoughtful and dedicated as Helen. Don't hesitate to book something with her!

We found this company on Tripadvisor. We initiated email contact with Helen Fraser and found her to be engaging, patient and very professional in her responses to our many questions. It was incredible the number of excellent ratings given to Afternoon Tea Tours. We were curious about the one review that referenced a "bus" and a lower rating. Believe me someone was really was confused, the tours are not on a bus!!!!!
We spent two days with Helen and felt as though we had known her for years. We have been traveling to Europe for 26 years and have used a wide range of drivers, tours etc. Nothing in those 26 years compares to the depth of insight provided by Helen's love for her land. Helen not only personally guides you to and through the sights, but brings the sites alive with her knowledge and ability to make you sense and feel the surroundings. Incredible how a visitor can embrace Scotland. Relaxing pace of touring with hand picked stops for tea, pastries and light meals. For example, when I asked Helen which sight was first, she replied "why don't we let the day evolve". We had the opportunity to embrace Scotland, but most important is that we met a kindred soulmate in Helen Fraser.
One final comment. This came from a comment by my wife. Helen Fraser provides the opportunity for single women travelers to enjoy a level of touring professionalism, a level of comfort, a level of security and companionship that is unheard of in international travel. Helen offers a wide range of day tours, short overnight tours or multi day tours. Imagine a single lady traveler that could have personal attention in all facets including someone to dine with in the evening on extended tours.

Spent 3 days with Helen. Day one was following our ancestors from Kirriemuir,driving by the old homestead and visiting a cemetery and found an ancestor! What a wonderful surprise. The many castles and vistas are all unique interesting and such marvels. The coast side is my personal favorite but the hills are also something to behold. And of course afternoon tea was such a lovely treat. Helen offers many wonderful suggestions. Thank you so much.

Please disregard 2star review referencing the "afternoon tea bus" by Trinilynni. This is not a bus tour company!
This is the way to see Scotland. Helen is a private tour guide and will take you around in her own car. We did 2 day tours with Helen while in Edinburgh. We had so much fun, so many laughs and learned so much about the culture of Scotland. So lovely to experience Scotland with someone who is so passionate about her country. Our tour to St Andrew's was my mother-in-law's favorite day of our vacation-customized to her abilities and interests. If you are looking for a tour of Scotland be it a day or longer-please consider afternoontea tours with Helen. She can take into account the weather, suggest best use of time and plan itinerary with your involvement. Look no farther-an absolute delight!
