Our guide was great. Provided info and stories along the way. Visited Urqhart Castle on Loch Ness, a farm with Highland Cows, a whisky distillery and Culloden Battlefield. Very enjoyable tour.

I would definitely recommend! This was such an easy way to see so much!! Loved having just a small group and our tour guide Niall couldn’t have been better. He is so knowledgeable with a great sense of humor which really adds to the wonderful experience. The stops are all amazing and we were able to see and learn so much. He gives you such an understanding of the history as a life long Highlander who could also answer everyone’s questions in an easy and charming style. I’m typically a non-history buff (and married to a history guy) we both loved it and I think I’m a convert!!

Our guide William stunned us with his depth of detail about every stop on the tour. He was engaging, authentic, and a downright good guy. He even found Nessie for a photo shoot.
He gave an in depth analysis of the Jacobite defeat at Culloden, including the tactics used by both sides.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Thank you from Lexington, SC USA.

We could not have asked for a better experience as we traveled to and toured the Dunrobin Castle and Glenmorangie Distillery. The castle was magnificent and was the inspiration for the Disney princess castles. The beautiful grounds provided the perfect environment for a lovely stroll as well as a falconry exhibit. We thoroughly enjoyed the tasting at the Glenmorangie Distillery along with commentary and explanation from our guide. We were so fortunate to have had Stewart as our guide. He provided a pleasant, calm, and caring environment while filling our trip with interesting information at every turn. Both trips we’ve taken with Happy Tours were well worth the time.

William was a most engaging and knowledgeable guide for this tour of the Isle of Skye. His stories and mimicry of various accents had us in stiches, and he was able to negotiate the itinerary in a way that kept us ahead of the other tour buses and masses. Well done, Willie! I am speaking for three of us on this tour, so 3 votes for William!

Best part of the deal was Stuart. He was a knowledgeable host and made us comfortable throughout the trip. He gave the information about our location and let us go. Was always accessible for question and presented with a great sense of humor or reverence depending.

William was amazing! His knowledge of the highlands is vast and he was never at a loss to share a story. He brought the Battle of Culloden to life! Even if you're not an Outlander fan, this tour is a must! Well done!

We greatly enjoyed the tour with our exceptional guide. Niall was a fountain of historical and geographic knowledge and his pride in the Highlands shines through. I would highly recommend this one day tour to anybody. Niall gives the local flare and comfortable experience we were looking for. The small group size is so much better than a large tour group. We saw exactly what we wanted on a relaxed flexible schedule. Highly recommend!

Out tour lecturer Bill Macdonald was absolutely great. His ability to give us details and knowledge of each place we visited was exactly what we wanted.
As I had a ancestor who was killed at Culloden with Clan MacTavish. He helped me understand the truth of the Jacobite movement. I now know why my ancestors suffered with great pride in what they went through. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. So we recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see the beauty and history of Scotland.

We will be visiting on a cruise and have to be back on the ship by 5:30. Does your Culloden Moor 8 hour tour guarantee that we will be back to Inverness by 5?

You would need to go to our Website for Happy Tours Scotland where we have a page dedicated to tours from Invergordon, all guaranteed to have you back to the ship on time. Standard tours do return at 5pm to Inverness but this is cutting it very fine to then get back to Invergordon.

How long do you recommend to stay in Inverness to take the tours e experience the highlands ? I will arrive in Edinburgh on oct 3th. So my doubt is. Should I stay there and take the day tours to highlands or it is much better to come and stay in Inverness?
Should I book the tours much earlier or a day is sufficient ?

I would say it's better to come to the Highlands , stay here and tour from here after you have stayed in Edinburgh. It's at least 3 hours from Edinburgh to Inverness , then our tours are 8 or 10 hours.
Our tours fill up quickly so I would book them as much in advance as you can

Husband and I are booking "Skye" tour as well as the miscellaneous "Highland" one back to back, Monday and Tuesday June 19 and 2o. Highlands are vast, so a tour seems best bet. Queries: 1. Did you feel you got out of vehicle enough? 2. we're you actually touring, walking around, going into locations or snapping photos only to jump again? Can you eat lunch on your own or is it with group? seems to be, roughly $140 for each day. That's a good deal cheaper than others. so is there any negative reason for either trip? I see the itinerary but it doesn't list order or how long in each place. Is that decided on the go by the group? Finally was the return good? we have Caledonian sleeper train booked and board at 20:00 pm. Seem doable for that time limit on second day?

I booked a private tour with John and had no issue with the time allotted for it in the van and out of the van. I wanted to see a lot of the countryside and felt very satisfied with how it ran and did not feel rushed with anything. We did go back later to hike old man of storr because they're just was not enough time on our tour date to hike it (about 2 hours) and see everyone I wanted to see on the tour. I was thrilled with the route that John mapped out for us. I have no regrets booking a private tour. It exceeded our expectations
