Dear mucksi, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. I am sorry to read that you were disappointed and that you haven't been able to experience our Escape SPA as planned. On the day on your booking , we immediately contacted you when we realised that we had a pipe burst in the spa plant room located outside which we think was due to the extreme cold that hit Ireland on that day. Our spa manager decided to call you as soon as we realised that the pool might be impacted and therefore not available. This was, in my opinion, the best customer service practice she could have offered and It is important to mention that she did profusely apologise for the last minute warning despite the fact that the issue was indeed out of our control. I would also like to offer my apologies that we had to contact you so close to your scheduled appointment. The spa manager did not, in fact, cancel your booking but confirmed you were very welcome to come and enjoy the dry flotation and relaxation room elements of the package you booked. She just wanted to ensure you were aware of the possibility that the spa pool might not be available. She offered a comp voucher for the vitality suite at a later stage or to reschedule the whole package. She also offered you to come a little later the same day when we would have known more about the issue. I fail to see how she could have demonstrated more willingness to deliver a fantastic experience. I am sorry to hear that you were so frustrated that you thought it was acceptable to use some highly inappropriate language when talking to someone who is trying to be honest and find the very best solution to provide you with the best experience possible despite the situation. I am happy to report that the issue was resolved very quickly by our Maintenance team and had no impact on any guest experience. I am sorry that you found the booking experience difficult, I would recommend guests book by telephone or online rather than by email as you chose to do. Email is indeed the slowest way to book as it can be difficult for our team to find an available time that also suits the guest when going back and forth via email.
