Really upsetting experience today. I come here often, Staff are friendly and it’s usually a wonderful and relaxing experience. I find it great for pain and stiffness.
Unfortunately today it was very noisy - a couple laughed and joked, splashing around in the hydrotherapy pool through out my time there. It is difficult when you travel there especially and use this as a form of pain relief to then not get the experience advertised. Staff did communicate the noise complaint with the couple but the noise issues only got worse after this. When you closed your eyes all you could hear was two youngsters laughing and splashing like you are in your local swimming pool.
I had to leave and was refunded - but no other compensation was put in place. I asked if this could happen if I returned and to my disappointment there was no guarantee that this couldn’t happen again. While I understand this is not a regular occurrence, this was a very unfair situation with no actual resolution.
It wouldn’t be fair to recommend this to others who are looking to use the vitality suite for a release from pain and stress.
The company advertise it as tranquil haven “Our aim is to provide our guests with a tranquil haven and each corner of our hotel has been designed to exude luxury.” So it is difficult to understand how this was allowed to happen today.
Possibly should consider having separate slots for those looking to genuinely relax and those looking for a bit of fun.
Local swimming pool is €10 this experience is €30 and unfortunately it seems to be the luck of the draw on whether it will add to stress or take it away.

I visited the Spa today for a full body massage. The robe didn't fit me so I asked for a bigger one and was told they are all one size. I was very disappointed by this and felt very uncomfortable. There is a larger community than myself and I feel there should be robes for all different shapes and sizes to ensure everyone feels comfortable. I had to wear a towel under my robe while waiting to be collected by my therapist which wasn't comfortable at all. This was the only down side of my visit today. I used the vitality suite and steam room before my treatment. It was lovely and warm and a very clean area. My therapist was Donna and I couldn't have asked for someone nicer. She came and collected me and explained what treatment I would be having. She then asked afew questions to make sure it was customised to my liking. The massage was so relaxing and she was so polite and it was lovely to have a chat with her. While opening up I expressed my disappointment with the robe sizing. She went into her cupboard in her room and pulled out a robe that fit me. This really put me at ease as I was able to go to the relaxation room wearing a closed robe. She brought me to the relaxation room and brought me lemonade and fruit this was lovely and she even went and got me a bottle of water and some ice I really appreciated this. I would like to return to the spa but would only do so if there was a robe to accommodate me as this really embarrassed me today and made me feel uncomfortable. I would highly recommend Donna to others and she was the highlight of my visit today. Thank you Donna you are a complete gem and a huge asset to the team!!

I was at the Escape Spa for the Precious moments mumma to be massage. I had such a warm reception. The treatment was so nourishing, the products beautiful and my therapist lovely. I very much enjoyed the whole experience.

I loved the atmosphere in the Escape Spa where the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a very relaxing place to spoil oneself. A special thank you to the therapist who carried out my first ever facial. She was extremely efficient and nice and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The manager was a delightful lady who gave me some sound advice on skin care and anaysed my skin on computer free of charge. It was in much better condition that I expected after a life time. The whole experience from start to finish was first class. I would highly recommend the Escape Spa to people who need a little spoiling. Also a gift voucher for the spa which includes a small pool, sauna and steam room would make a very acceptable gift for a friend or relative.

Welcomed and shown around by Martha who’s a professional and very pleasure, helpful young lady to have on reception .
The spa is as I remembered pre covid warm, powerful jets and steam room. Orla was the Elemis therapist and she did a wonderful relaxing and effective back, face and head massage. Afterwards I enjoyed watermelon and lemonade in the relaxation room.
Followed by tasty vegan risotto in the imperials dining area. Overall a great day thanks to my daughter’s giving me the voucher. Clean, nice products available.
Unfortunately, One steam room was out of order and there were tiles missing in the ladies shower and in the aromatherapy steam room but I’m sure they are aware of that. Thanks again

This was an an average to below average experience especially for the price. I booked a midweek package which I double checked on the website was priced at 1.5 hrs. My appt was at 4 pm and I’m back in my room now at 5:30….when my appt should be ending but I’ve had relaxation room, changing and walking back. The ladies changing room has a terrible odor with limited amenities, threading towels, and threading robes. As an esthetician myself, the overall experience was ok and as noted, short. For 185 Euro, my I expected far better. Overall a big disappointment.

My partner and I booked two treatments here for our anniversary. It was a thoroughly underwhelming experience and we would not recommend.
We each booked a treatment and planned to use the thermal suite beforehand to unwind. In any other spa we have been in the thermal suite has been included with the treatments. We were unpleasantly surprised when we were charged €40 to use the suite for the hour, on top of what we paid for the treatments. This charge was not communicated when we booked the slot over the phone.
The suite itself is very ordinary. Basically a small rectangular swimming pool (rather cold), a sauna and a steamroom. A few chairs dotted around but nowhere to lounge. We were told about the lovely ‘refreshments’ which was a jug of lemon water and some paper cups.
My partner got a massage where the masseuse spent the entire time complaining about being paid minimum wage, and even using foul language. The massage itself was poor and she had more knots in her back leaving than when she went in. There was zero pressure applied, and she basically just had massage oil rubbed into her skin.
I did the dry floatation pool and it was actually quite nice, which is why I have given 2 stars instead of 1.
We described our experience to the assistant manager Jaime Lee who was completely unhelpful. We were told that the extra charge for the thermal suite has been in place ‘for years’, which is fair enough, but this wasn't communicated to us at the time of booking. In her defence, she seems quite inexperienced in customer service and is perhaps new to the role.
Save yourself the stress (and hidden charges) and book a spa anywhere else.

I started with 1 hour of Vitality Suite where you can enjoy therapy pool and steaming rooms. Perfect space to unwind and start your relaxing journey. I have chosen a head, neck and shoulders massage and loved every moment of it- got to choose the pressure of massage, areas I wanted treated more and I definitely felt pampered. After the massage I tried a dry flotation bed for the first time ever and it will definitely not be the last time. I am usually a light sleeper and have a hard time unwinding, but that half an hour in dry flotation room felt like a full night of quality sleep. Out of body experience for sure, and your muscles will be very thankful after it! After the treatments you can spend some time in Relaxation Room, just soaking the whole experience in while being treated with fresh fruit and lemonade. The whole team is just brilliant! They make sure you leave recharged and relaxed and I definitely cannot wait to come back! I highly recommend it and I am looking forward to trying every treatment they offer.
