Attended the annual mass in Desnsgrange Cemetery Y’day 7th July & appalled by the state of the cemetery. Weeds everywhere & bins overflowing. Terrible to see such a nice cemetery in such a state.

Well mantained graveyard, easy to reach by bus, walking etc.
GOOD onsite facilities, cafe nearby.
If conducting for genealogical family research purposes, best to ring office in advance.

Deansgrange Cemetery has been let get ruined by weeds. In a lot of ots you can't even see the headstones. Shame on Dlrcoco

Vast is size and best to drive in if you are visiting a grave at the back. Also has nice tearooms and toilet facilities.

My Mother and Father are buried in Deansgrange. I’m a massive cemetery with a number of famous people buried here.

Coffe cake to die for, pardon the pun. Great fresh food served in quirky surroundings inside the gate of Deansgrange Cemetry. The food is excellent and the owner and staff are always pleasant. A great spot.

I really enjoyed this two hour tour of some of the notable people that are buried in this graveyard. Our Tour Guide was brilliant, the tour was free and part of the Summer of Heritage programme. This is an incredibly interesting tour to go on.

Part of our trip was to see great granddads grave and place some flowers. Some beautiful old celtic crosses and lots of history from the Irish 1916 rising and even a coffee shop too...

I joined the free cemetery tour which runs on a Tuesday at 2pm as part of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County council's summer of heritage and found it a very interesting look into Irish history and culture. With a military focus it provides a small insight into some of the religious and historical differences in Irish society of the past, economic too.
Well worth a visit.
There's a small cafe onsite too.
Meetup and start is at the office at 2pm.
