I had a wonderful experience on my tour. I was running a little late and Shane the tour guide called me to make sure I was coming. That’s appreciated as he could’ve simply left without me. Shane was attentive, knowledgeable and comedic. He quickly learned everyone’s name on the tour making sure we all felt welcomed and included. I would definitely book again.

This is my second time doing this tour, which came highly recommended from a friend! It is a must do when in Dublin. Shane is an amazing tour guide and storyteller, and extremely knowledgeable. He taught group about the history of the pub, a few traditional Irish songs, and took us to a few authentic pubs outside of the city. He is very thoughtful in making sure that every single person has an amazing time and provided great recommendations of local beers to try, and other spots to visit in Dublin for after the tour. He even went above and beyond to drop us off in an area he thought our group would enjoy for the rest of the night. I can’t say enough great things about this tour and Shane, and I can’t wait to return on my next visit to Dublin!

1st time in Dublin. This was the absolute best. Shane is amazing. I would do this tour again and again. You will not be disappointed.

How do I decide which part of this excursion I liked best?? Shane: the proprietor, driver, historian, music DJ, storyteller, comedian? The rural pubs outside the city where we had drinks with the locals, listened to live music, watched Irish dancing, and socialized with our new friends? The yummy Irish cider I tried at each establishment? Name that Irish ditty while driving to each pub? I can't decide because it was all FABULOUS! If you want to experience a little imbibing like the Irish - WITH the Irish - I HIGHLY recommend you take this tour!
I can't say enough about Shane! He called me a couple days before the activity to make sure we were in Ireland and good to go, which was very nice; he made us all feel soooo comfortable with thoughtful ice-breaker questions; and really cultivated a fun time but also an informative time with great anecdotes and stories about Irish history and beer - haha.

Had a great time with our multigenerational pub crawl. Shane is a fantastic host. We loved the stories, the singing, the food, the beers, the whiskey . . . . Heartily recommend!

Great excursion, Shane was a fantastic guide and the pubs were little nuggets in Dublin with troubadours in every pub.

What a fantastic experience! We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our evening but especially spending it with Shane! His knowledge of Irish history, local beers and music was endless and appreciated by us all. His sense of humor had us laughing the whole way too! If we are lucky enough to ever come back would do this again in a heartbeat !

This tour is a must do on a trip to Dublin!! Seeing three real pubs that are off the beaten path, but have true local characters, was a ton of fun. Shane was the best guide around!! Thank you Shane from your Jersey friends - the tour hit the ‘Red Spot’ ;)

yes advance booking is essential as its a small group tour max 16 people per tour & ideal for solo travellers as you will be on a social tour amongst like minded travellers.

What pubs does the tour stop at as there are six of us and wanting to know if going by private car would allow for more of a customized tour that allows for us to stay longer at places we like and such. Any suggestions? Thanks

Plenty of time allowed at each pub. Taking your own car would 100% minimize the experience. Our tour guide knew all the local pub history. We really enjoyed the ride (singing and talking) between pubs, the camaraderie of meeting others on our same tour and the warm reception we received because we were part of the tour.

Recommend eating before. You can certainly order bar snacks at any of the stops. Hope you get to do this. Awesome time! Enjoy!!

Hi, we are really looking into this pub tour. We have a very limited time in Dublin so if we do this tour it would mean that we won't really do much in Dublin on our own. We are doing the Killinghaim Gaol tour and plan to stop for a quick visit to St Patrick's Cathedral and Christ Church but that will be about all we have time for. I was wondering how much time did you actually get to see the surrounding area? Did you feel that this tour gave you an overview of the Wicklow Mountains and countryside as well as a visit to the pubs?

Hi there! I've done this tour three times, and am taking a fourth in November. If you have limited time in Dublin, TAKE THIS TOUR. If you had one afternoon in Dublin, I would still say TAKE THIS TOUR!! You meet the best people, visit the best pubs, see the countryside, and the tour guide, Shane, is just wonderful. If you want to enjoy the views, take an afternoon tour. If you want to see the genuine Irish pubs in all their glory, take an evening tour. I've taken this tour as a solo traveller and with my brother, and it's always the highlight of my trips to Dublin. Enjoy!
