These types of museums (displays) are sometimes a bit “meh” but in reality it was a great way of learning about the history of Dublin over the last 1500 years. Temper your expectations. This is not a living re-enactment but instead very real examples of how people lived and died in years past. Is it a good activity, yes. I gave it a 4 because it did well at its intended purpose (museum). The staff were very friendly and the tour guide was well informed.

Visited Dublinia this morning. It is the history of the Vikings' settling Dublin and their lives during that time. Excellent tour. We did the self-guided tour. You can see remains of old Dublin around the area.

This place was fantastic, learnt a lot and I even got to let my inner Viking out, by getting kitted out like a Viking (Helmet, Axe and Shield).
Staff were very knowledable and friendly a must for any body wanting to know more about the history of Dublin.
The interactive elements were easily interacted with and fun, kids will love this place.
I highly recommend coming here

We were at the viking exhibition where they talked about a church being burned when it started smelling like smoke, the fire alarm went off and we had to go out.
10/10 for the realistic experience.

This museum is very well done very fun, affordable in French, fair, when you know that the national museums are free and that the national museum of Ireland offers the same thing and more over this period with authentic coins, I regretted a little my 15 euros that would have allowed me to go have a pint afterwards.

This was OK. A little hokey more for kids, but was fun interactive. I wish it was a little cheaper but if you have young kids, I would suggest it.

It was very informative but be warned it’s cheesy. It is a great primer for the national museum however! And I suggest you check out the tower, don’t be intimidated by the steps

We went only to see the Viking history in the museum and did not leave disappointed. Very informative displays made our 1 hour trip worth while.

Beautiful interactive museum on the history of Dublin. Very impressive is the story of the Dubliner, narrated on screen, with the entire reconstruction of buildings of the time

How does it compare with the Viking center in York, UK? Have been there a few times.

there's more in York, we was there in October 2016 but due to floods a lot of it was closed. once it al re-opens it'd be a better choice than the Dublin one.

We only spent about an hour. - rather last century, I thought. You can get a double ticket that gets you into the adjacent church. I would recommend the new exhibition at the Post Office although it makes one embarrassed to be British. And if you plan to visit the jail buy your tickets in advance. We didn't and so missed out.
