Fantastic! My sister and I had a girls trip to Ireland and we went to the show. So happy that we did! The music was amazing and the dancers were phenomenal. So much fun! Loved the stories, humor and little bits of history of the music and dancing in Ireland. Food was delicious and comforting. Had a great experience. We highly recommend it!!

Superb atmosphere and very good show. The meal was level and the pint of guiness appreciated. The friendliness is exceptional. Too bad that the internationalization of the globich leads English speakers to make no effort for the accessibility of the linguistic handicapped.

We went to see Irish Nights at the Belvedere and had a great time. We had a 3 course dinner and then watched talented dancers and musicians for an hour and 1/2. The music was lively and included some fun audience participation. The show was informative for tourists hearing jigs and reels for the first time and a few traditional pub songs along with explanations of the instruments and dances. All 6 in our group of seniors had a great time. Perfect for your first trip to Ireland.

I have to start by saying that the dancers were AMAZING! I sat so far back that I couldn't see their feet, but amazing none the less. I loved that there were a mix of men and women dancers solo and together, really great. I really enjoyed the dancing portions of this event, it made me forget about everything else for a brief moment.
So I have read all of the other reviews and found that the 1 to 3 start review were exactly correct, the food, venue, location etc. exactly my experience. The previous evening I attended a similar Irish dinner/dancer show, so I was expecting a really great event at the Belvedere but it was a let down. Here are the top four reasons that the visit did not meet expectations.
4. The food is not well prepared. Very touristy feeling to pre-prepared choices. I know it must be a challenge to prepare so many meals quickly,...but that is exactly the business you are competing in. There are many other Irish dancing shows that can do it well. Very bland, the vegan option was a few sparce baked veggies covered in an inch of mashed potatoes. Table service was adequate, not great, very young staff with limited experience it seems. The food is forgettable if the show is great, but...
3. The non-dancing portion of the show is not that great. Very cliche selection of Irish songs, WAY too much time getting the audience to participate--I did not come to Ireland listen to two bus loads of American tourists sing Irish songs. The songs are already well known, you don't need to spend 5 minutes practicing Molly Malone etc. Just sing the songs and the rest will magically happen. The time wasted (a lot) would have been better spent just performing great Irish music. The same goes for watching random audience members try Irish dancing, why? It's embarrassing to watch and burns 20+ minutes. The selection of Irish instruments was limited, no fiddle, no elbow pipes, no jig. Pipes are the soul of Irish music, the sound that takes you back in time; a must have for an event like this.
2. The venue is not great. It is a long hall with the stage at one end which makes the view from the back really poor. They fill the front with the bus people, if you book on your own expect to sit in the back or along the far wall. The folks that just came for the show (not a selectable option during booking) were sat in the very back, against the wall in chairs--no tables to even set a drink on. Clearly the busses bring in the bigger more reliable fares, all others are empty table fillers. It was hot in there too, no fans or circulating air along the wall where we were sat.
1. The prime reason I would not return, and would not recommend the Belvedere Irish Night Show, Dance and Traditional 3-course Dinner to others (this is absolutely true), in the lobby of the venue, next to the bathrooms, I was solicited for drugs. This is in the Hotel! Yep, cocaine or marijuana were my options; apparently high quality based on the affidavit of the tattoo faced guy selling it from his supermarket bag. I had to stand there and decline his offer, and his reasonable request for 20 Euro to help pay for his hotel room, for ten minutes, while my son was in the bathroom.
It is impossible, that neither the staff of the Hotel, nor the staff of the event did not see this guy-- Impossible! Yet nothing was done, no one intervened, nothing. Horrible location to hustle drugs by the way, the average age of the bussed in audience was 70ish, but once I went outside I understood his rationale since the corner was also being used as a distribution site. The neighborhood outside of the Hotel is really sketchy at night. I get why the bussed in audience is so important now. This was unacceptable, kids were at the show, elderly people, families.
Not cool Belvedere.
Review your CCTV from the 31 Aug show before posting a response. I think everyone would like to hear why this was allowed to happen and what measures you are taking to ensure it doesn't happen in the future.

Chicken coujons with chips
Breast chicken mash and carrots
A veggie option and I think a fish dish too
Puddings :chocolate fudge cake for definite and ice cream

Hello! I'll like to know if the music and/ or environment is very loud. I ask because i have an auditory problem and although i would love to experience the night, i need to be practical about my condition and cautious when it involves loud noises of any kind, given that loud noises would only make my situation worse. Thank you.

I would say that because the venue is small, it can be relatively loud, but definitely nothing compared to a concert. If there is a way for you to attend without discomfort, it is definitely worth it!

How are the seats assigned??How early should you arrive if it is first come ?? Can you get beer/wine during the show?

We were with a group and the seating was open but we had 3 long tables to choose from. The table are set up perpendicular to the stage. There was a bar in the eating area with beer on tap. Before the show we ate dinner and a video played about Irish history. We had reservations. Not sure on how early to arrive. You could probably find out with a reservation.

Yes I recommend it; I did it via viatorcom. If you want to have the show with dinner, than it´s compulsory to book in advance. If only show than you can try without booking, but preferable not at a weekend.
please be aware that the good tables in front are only for guests with a dinner
