I booked a cookery course for my brother who is autistic and has some learning difficulties. He attended an evening group course where he worked with a partner to prepare a whole range of Mexican food. He was nervous about attending so we contacted one of the chef's there - Gerry - who invited him to visit the school beforehand to put him at his ease. On the night of the event, he was asked to come early to settle himself in. We were delighted to hear afterwards that he had had a fantastic evening and made delicious food. We are so grateful to the school for working with us to make sure he had fun using his birthday voucher.

I'm just home from a Gourmet Pizza Masterclass here, and I am very impressed. Alternating between demos and practicals, we each made AND ATE three pizzas (Turkish pide with minced lamb and harissa, white pizza with ricotta, and a classic margarita) as well as observing the making of parmesan and garlic fonduta; sourdough pizza dough; and almond, mint and basil pesto. Super-helpful chefs and staff ready to discuss the finer points and answer all questions. The course was well prepared so that there was no standing around waiting, and the place is super-clean. I learned a whole lot and brought home a ball of pizza dough ready to be used tomorrow. A special mention for Antonio the chef from Madrid for being particularly helpful and supportive.

Nice facility, knowledgeable demonstrator and tutors.
Overriding impression however is that this is a business, if they didn't pack as many people into the class and were a little less slick with their marketing then I wouldn't have got the feeling that you are one of a number. There's something just a little bit impersonal and factory like that I can't fully articulate.

Absolutely fantastic evening at Dublin Cookery School. Highly recommend to anyone looking to spend a fun evening with friends or partner. I will definitely be booking another course soon.

I recently completed the one month course at Lynda Booth’s Dublin Cookery School. The course bridges the gap between the domestic and professional kitchen, providing practical tuition in a fun and friendly environment. The course involved daily demonstrations and lectures covering many technical skills and techniques including pastry, pasta, bread making, baking and various international cuisines. The food produced was truly amazing which then had to be eaten for lunch!
I would definitely recommend the courses to anyone looking to expand their culinary repertoire. Lynda’s team of professional chefs provided expert tuition and guidance in a relaxed atmosphere. Many thanks Lynda for a truly unforgettable experience.

I had done a day course back in November and had an amazing day at 'A taste of the middle east'. After that I was lucky enough to have the time to sign up for the One Month Certificate course which I am just after completing which ran throughout January. Each day we were preparing new amazing dishes and between the daily demonstrations and tastings each week, we were always learning something new. I would have loved to have had the time to do the 3 month course. I would definitely recommend going in to the school to anyone that has any interest in cooking be it for a day or a week. If you really want to make a difference to your cooking or get into the industry, I would highly recommend doing one of the certificate courses. Thanks again to everyone in the school and will definitely back.

The instructors, all eight of them brought a huge breadth of experience, mortally to the table. Scotsmen teaching about seafood on a break from their iconic restaurant. Bakers who are wizards. Italian Americans who make you learn stunning dishes. Thai food recipes from Thai people and on and on it went. Great craic with fellow students too. Wish I could do it again.

I did the Italian Day Course and found it to be enjoyable and very interesting. The amount of cooking we did during the day was amazing, as I am a complete beginner, and the help I received from the chefs was just right.Learned a lot and will definitely be back for more.

My wife and I recently completed the 1 month cookery course at the Dublin Cookery School.
We cannot praise this school high enough
The tutors are first class. They are highly experienced and very helpful and attentive, and, without exception all are excellent teachers.
The school is well equipped and professionally run, and, the food and ingredients were of the highest quality.
The classes are great fun and everybody in the class works together as a team.
The skills we learnt have now given us the confidence to refine our cooking even further.
The school and tutors worked with my coeliac condition to refine my gluten free cooking and indeed we worked together to create new recipes. It was a great joy to be now able to make my own GF pasta, pizza and pastry that are indistinguishable from the “real thing”!
