My family of various ages loved the tour! This is a great way to start your stay in Westport. Darren was an excellent tour guide! He keeps things lively and interesting. Definitely recommend!

Great tour
Great introduction to charming Westport. We learned about the history of the city and the area. The tour is easy to walk and moves at a leisurely pace.

Really enjoyed the walking tour. Highly recommend doing this when visiting the westport area. Darren has great insight into the history of the local area.

Excellent overview of the Westport area and its history.
The information was very helpful, and interesting, and like most walking tours, you learn a lot more than the self guided versions. The guide was great. For 15 euro for an hour, we expected a little more. a similar tour in Kinsale was 10 euro and the storytelling and depth of information was better. Taking nothing away from this tour.

Outstanding tour of beautiful Westport
My husband and I really enjoyed our walking tour of Westport with Darren. He was funny, knowledgeable and highly entertaining, pointing out both historical landmarks as well as shops and eateries with particular local significance. I highly recommend this tour- it’s reasonably priced, at a gentle pace, and will definitely enhance your understanding and appreciation of this lovely town.

Wonderful, witty Westport Walkabout
Excellent, informative and witty tour of Westport, packed with history, personalities, and funny stories. Our guide Darren was brilliant, full of humor, and the passing townspeople added to the enjoyment by shouting out “Don’t believe a word” as they passed by. We had visitors and they thought the tour was amazing. Highly recommended.

A great way of spending an hour
It was a great way to spending an hour listening about Westport and its development in an an amusing way. I can see how Darren- the guide- gives motivational speeches amongst his other jobs. Born and bred in Westport, Darren knew everyone and got the group in banter with the locals who were calling him with lines like “don’t believe a word he says” with an Irish retort which would probably be banned on TA.
He knew the town like the back of his hand and tied everything together with its social history with its people making Westport the great place it is.
Go on the tour- you won’t be disappointed.

Deirdre is a very friendly guide. She has lots of interesting history about beautiful Westport. I have visited Westport many times, and would not have known the history if I didn't take the walking tour. I really enjoyed, and will recommend it to many. Thank you Deirdre for all your knowledge. Not to be missed!

Darren is a very friendly and helpful guide. He is also fascinating to listen to as he peppers his visit with funny anecdotes. We discovered lots of places and learnt a lot about the history of the city and the area. I highly recommend it!

A real treat in and around the town
