Le lac est magnifique, nous y sommes allés principalement pour la pêche et le plaisir des yeux .
Le site a enchanté mon regard , je déplore cependant certaines petites choses. Le manque d'informations pour profiter au mieux de l'endroit . Je m'étonne de ne pas avoir trouvé d'information pour pouvoir louer une embarcation . J'ai aussi trouvé l'endroit sale : bouteilles vides , chaussures , emballages ....... L'Irlande est un pays magnifique , les Irlandais ont cette gentillesse et un savoir vivre qui réchauffe le coeur , malheureusement il semblerait que certaines personnes ne respectent et c'est vraiment dommage . Nous connaissons cela en France aussi .

Lough Gara riding stables can be summed up by the wonderful experience provided by the owners and staff. This is truly a wonderful experience, our children have never been happier than when they we’re taking part in the pony camp or the birthday parties hosted here. I cannot praise Adrienne, Jimmy and staff enough. They really do provide a wonderful caring and memorable experience. We have gone here for the last 3 or 4 years and would recommend anyone to take part in the experience. Thank you so much Jimmy and Adrienne

We brought 10 kids (ages 6 to 8) to Lough Gara Riding Stables for my son's 8th birthday party. We have 3 children and this was the best birthday party we've had so far. The kids did archery, airsoft shooting, horse riding, fed and held lots of baby animals and did a great obstacle course (like a kid's version of Ireland Fittest Family). We had lunch and birthday cake in a lovely outdoor dining area but there is also an indoor area for food. The view over the lake is fabulous and the staff could not have been nicer. This place is a hidden gem and it is excellent value for money. We will be back.

We found this place online to as a place near Carrick On Shannon to horse riding. There were a large group of us (17) for a 30th birthday party, but they were very accommodating. While a proportion of our group were horse rifing, the others were offered to do Archery, airsoft shooting and to view their excellent pet farm. As a bonus, Jimmy brought us clay pigeon shooting at the end. From start to end, it was an excellent day out.

Found the riding stables while in the local area on holiday. We hadn't booked so the owner Adrien had riding lessons to take but allowed us to view the animals and even give our 2 grandchildren a ride on the ponies.
Jimmy the other owner came back and was happy to take us clay pigeon shooting, this was €35 each but allowed 4 of us to share a couple of boxes of cartridges to try it (€70). After the clay pigeon shooting we had a go with the air rifles and with the airsoft guns so my grandson could fire it.
Nice people and a lot of fun.

If you are looking for a totally unspoilt and virtually untouched natural beauty spot then this is the place. Absolutely steeped in un-commercialised history and archaeology including untouched crannog sites, Moygara Castle, Clogher stone fort, Clogher holy well, Carantemple burial ground and standing stones and the Four Altars all within a few miles of each other this is definitely the area for those of you with an appreciation for un-developed sites....and a network of scenic walks

Lough Gara Adventure Centre great for kids, they loved the shooting, archery and horse riding. Lovely couple/family running it and so patient with the kids, giving them loads of attention and time. Great little animal farm, hard to get the kids to leave

I visited here recently and enjoyed a boat ride on the lake. I understand that we only got to see a very small part of the lake and the island due to time constraints but I was impressed with what I saw. Im a bit of a history/culture freak so I was delighted to see a crannog first hand for the first time in my life.
Not sure if there are commercial boat tours available on the lake as the trip we took was part of a number of activities which we had organised through the local Lough Gara Riding School.

send all my visitors down to Lough Gara as it is only 10mins drive from my home. The fisherman among them are happy to while away a few hours and the younger members take a barbecue when the weather is good to just chill out

Since this is my area, I am definitely a bit biased. My granny's house is on the shore of Lough Gara. Good fishing, lovely views, crannogs and islands. Love It!
