This was a step better than the Medieval Museum with more displays and interesting pictures on the walls. Go to the third floor for a more local slant on Waterford history. An interesting hour.

Beautiful experience. The glass history is the reason I visited the Bishop’s Palace and it did an exceptional job with plenty of fine examples. The extensive history of Ireland was a pleasant surprise. The house offers a well done presentation of artifacts and written history of the area. I needed more time to see it all. Very enjoyable.

Prachtig huis en museum met veel informatie over de geschiedenis van Waterford en de glasindustrie. De rondleiding die we kregen in het museum was geweldig, evenals de 4D film aan het einde. We hebben er van genoten. Een aanrader!

Myself and my husband went to visit Bishops Palace this is morning the staff where so nice we met our tour guide Laura , I have to say it was a pleasure her knowledge of the Palace was very very interesting she had our full attention I would recommend you take a visit.

We were in city and looking for a hour to kill so decided to go bishop's palace at 4 o'clock closed at 5 o clock , minute we went inside the door the lady at the desk muttered Jesus under her breath , what a welcome , museum was good , clean and informative , we left before close with 10 minutes to spare , the same lady just sat there as we left no goodbye and no thank you the only words I heard her say was Jesus , I am from Waterford and by the way we were received I fear for this museum as if they treat international guests the way they treat locals it will be closed soon . No Ireland of a hundred thousand welcomes here .
If you visit I hope you are received better than a family with a young child whom wished to learn more about her city's history .

The Bishop's Palace is conveniently located within the Viking Triangle and across the street from the Waterford Crystal building. The Bishop's Palace contains interesting artwork, Paintings, etc. There is a cafe where you can relax outside after touring the building. There are both guided and self-guided tours available.

Delicious food, very friendly staff. Had gluten free bread for sandwiches, which one of our party needed. A lovely place to sit (indoor or out) while touring the museums in the Viking Triangle.

Excellent tour provided by well informed guide. Tour included a video 3D presentation of the history of the palace.

Good morning, the guided tour takes about 45 minutes to an hour and then you can wander around the very top floor at your leisure, so you make it as long as you wish! Even if you wish to go back over what the guide has shown you, you are more than welcome to do so. If you need anything further, please let me know.

Good morning Orlab562, the guided tours of the Bishop's Palace are given on the hour every day in the beautiful Georgian Bishop's Palace. Our opening house from this month are 9.15am to 5.00pm Mon. to Fri., 10am to 5.00pm Saturday and 11.00am to 5.00pm on Sundays. I hope that's of help to you.
