Westminster Arcade is a small shopping arcade in the centre of Harrogate. In keeping with arcades in many towns in the North of England it is beautifully designed. It has a lovely paved floor and the frames supporting the building are very stylish.
There are some nice little shops in the arcade as well as places to get a drink and a snack. A good place to visit when you are in town.

I decided to take my 8 year old son with my Mum too as I hadn’t visited this place for at least 20 years. My little boy had never been in a Victorian Arcade before and he loved it! We had a hot lunch in the cafe followed by a large pot of Yorkshire Tea (my son had a Christmas biscuit) and it was very nice. The service was friendly and the owner gave us a bit of history of the arcade too.
The book shop had some beautiful books and cards and we also liked the shop selling Russian dolls and other interesting items. The architecture is beautiful and it was so nice to escape the cold in this calm and welcoming arcade. Definitely will be returning.

Popped in for a coffee whilst Christmas shopping. It was wonderful. Lovely hot cappuccino, far superior to what the chain cafes serve. Treated myself to a bakewell scone which was a first for me. I can honestly say it was the best scone (of any kind) that I have ever eaten! The staff were lovely and attentive without being intrusive. I will certainly make this place my regular coffee spot

This is a small covered arcade with some decorative ironwork. It is unusual in that it is built on a steep slope. It looks as if it might have been an older street that was covered at a later date. There is a traditional man's shop, an independent bookshop, a healthfood shop and a cafe that was closed when we visited. There is also a toilet upstairs.

Called in here for a light lunch after visiting the Country Living Christmas Fair. What a find, tucked away upstairs in the Westminster arcade, it is a lovely vintage tearoom with a relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and good food, we had a Panini. We ordered a pot of tea for 2 and got a huge teapot full of excellent tea along with cups and saucers.

There is a fabulous new bookshop in the Westminster Arcade. Imagined Things Bookshop has a lovely selection of great books, toys ,cards, gift wrap, journals ,Harry Potter jewellery and games. It is a lovely calm beautiful shop where you can order books that are not in the shop .

I visited on a quiet morning and was welcomed with a daily newspaper to read while my tea and scones were prepared. Tea came in a lovely China pot and the scone was fresh and warm with cream and jam. The tearoom had a lively vintage vibe and the staff were friendly and warm - prices are great and would highly recommend

We visited the TeaRoom cafe which is to be found upstairs in the Arcade. Lovely food served in a simply glorious setting accompanied by some very old fashioned Tea Room's music. We went in after lunch time and the staff still cooked us a breakfast even though the time for breakfast had passed, great service with lovely food. Look for this little hidden gem because it is well worth it. And do not forget to look at the shops because they are simply lovely.

This is a beautiful arcade and worth checking out. There's all kinds of things, bespoke country wear to comic books!
