A great walk up from Harrogate if you going to visit the RHS Harlow Carr Gardens. Nice maintained footpaths with a great viewing area with binoculars to look out with.

Beautiful woods leading either to the equally beautiful Valley Gardens or Rhs Harlow Carr. lovely Natural surroundings, Very easy walking apart from a short steeper part and lovely views of the Harrogate area( there is a telescope).

love love love the pinewoods in all seasons, a stunning extension of the Valley Gardens and great pathway up to the famous Bettys @ Harlow Carr Gardens you really feel like you are miles from anywhere

Great walk out in the snow that fell across Yorkshire last weekend. The Pinewoods was full of wonder and fun and it was a lovely walk from Harrogate through the woods towards Bettys for a pot of tea. A must to visit Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter to see the forna, trees and wildlife.

I live nearby and enjoy walking through the pinewoods every week. I would have been desperately sad if housing had been or is in the future approved on the adjacent fields. It would ruin one of Harrogate's priceless gems.

Hi - no, you can access Bettys Tea Room at RHS from the main entrance without needing to pay.
