They weren't open when we were there. There are updates on the InDerby web site. It says they're working to open them but we didn't see any activity

No tables for a picnic in the park area but at the top of the park there's a cafe where there are tables and chairs. Lots of space to sit on the greenery though

I'd also recommend the Abbey Inn, it's a lovely Sam Smith pub in a historic building.

Hi it's only a cafe I don't think that they sell plants. Nice food and a cuppa.

One has 2 parks in one but a River Derwent is in between one is known as Darley Park with a wildlife meadow and footpath along the river plus a Hydrangeas and the Viburnums gardens and the cricket during the summer and on the other side we have Darley Fields Chester Green side where we have a foot path along the river starting from the Old Handyside railway bridge going through Parkers Piece with roman remains underneath along past Darley Fields depotand up to Folly foot bridge on to the large green area which hosts 11 football pitches and in the days past 9 cricket wickets as for the birds we have plenty of birds along the river i know we had Kingfishers and in Darley Park i am sure there are plenty ,but we do have Peregrines that do nest in the tower of the Cathedral.And Darley Fields is conservation area with Roman remains we used to have well dressing around this area an interesting spot.
