I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Our car parks are 'pay on arrival', which requires you to choose the amount of time you wish to stay using the buttons on the machine, and make payment accordingly. If you did not select the correct time period to cover your stay, this will be why a parking charge notice has been issued. If you feel your parking charge notice has been unfairly issued then you should follow the appeals process outlined in the correspondence you have received from Smart Parking.

If you complete a lap particularly quickly, our team may offer for you to complete another lap of the same level, subject to availability and time remaining. However, we do not typically offer completion of a different level without additional charge. We will nonetheless discuss your feedback with the team to see if any changes can be made to improve the visitor experience.

We're sorry to hear about your experience. Smart Parking do operate a grace period to allow for finding a space and leaving the car park. We would recommend following their appeals process if you feel your PCN has been unfairly issued.
