Lovely walk with doggy around the country park, through the meadows, woodland area and castle ruin. There were some stunning views. Glad we visited! But no toilet facilities

We complete a 5+ mile walk. On site is £1.70 for parking at the weekend (£1.20 during week) You can park free in some areas close by.
The parking height restriction for White Horse Wood Country Park is 2m (6.5ft) and it closes (gates locked) at dusk.
We enjoyed most of the walk we did. However, we used OS maps for our walk and two areas of the walk were impossible (Overgrown and unmaintained). Not a fault of the park, as these are public footpath areas.
It's a great place for a picnic.
We spotted a Spitfire and Lancaster bomber during the walk, flying over us (Air show on somewhere)
We spotted people flying various small craft on one part of the hill area of the park, as well as manual (air take off) parachute style flying.
Within the park, a great place for many, many blackberries

Small country park, you don’t need much longer than an hour and a half to walk around and easily see it all. Pleasant to walk around. Wasn’t very busy compared to the nearby Mote Park.

This park offers several walks varying in length and degrees of stamina, as well as some pleasant open spaces to enjoy the views and fresh air. If walking wear some good walking shoes.
There is a charge for the car park and no facilities available for drinks/toilets although you could walk to several villages and enjoy a meal in a local pub (when permitted).

Visited recently and although on previous visits it has been very clean on this occasion there were lots of rubbish including broken bottles in the car park - which was a concern for me as for my car tyres but more importantly my dogs feet! The walk itself is lovely with stunning views - distinct lack of bins and no toilets.

Had to park outside the gate as a height barrier is on the entrance. The park was clean of rubbish. The walks are well signed.

This is a lovely open fielded and parkland area on the top of the North Downs that presents great views across Maidstone and the surrounding areas.

A lovely walk with dog with great views,put rather small for parking charge.very sharp turn into entrance of motorway.
Very clean and friendly dog owners.
Need to go outside the park if you want a longer walk.only took 20 mins to walk round path.
Not sure I go again as there are better parks around with better walks.but great views over downs.

This is superb dog walking area,with outstanding views from the north downs. There are long and short walks and a nice dog friendly pub as well.i would recommend this park for dog walkers
