We were in Maidstone at the weekend for the Maid of Stone rock festival and visited here on our way to the park on the Friday evening for a beer. An old and quirky building with so much character. And the staff were so welcoming and friendly. We called in again after the show on Saturday night and enjoyed some great company with fellow rockers again looked after by the wonderful staff, and in particular the chef, a super guy who was more than happy to cook some very tasty Tex Mex food right up to 2 am.
We'll definitely visit again next year.

Hemmed in by buildings bigger and taller than itself and on a busy crossroad, Ye Olde Thirsty Pig is a great place to go for a drink. Its unusual to say the least, with musical instruments hanging from the ceiling, but the staff are friendly and helpful enough and there'as plenty of drinks to choose from

I think this is, probably, the oldest building in Maidstone and a great place for a drink. Welcomed warmly by a very friendly member of staff who showed me to a table and then went for my drink. If I wanted another drink, all I had to do was push the button near to the table, give my table number and say what drink I wanted and she would serve it. This was all to ensure that Covid regulations were followed. Hand sanitiser was available, masks had to be worn and there was a clearly marked one-way system. On top of that, the building itself is extremely interesting, uneven floors, quaint windows and unusual decorations.

We’ve been in this pub twice before and had great friendly service, but this evening (15th of July) we went in. My parter suffers with anxiety so just wanted to get in and sit down as I was waiting for someone to see us a member of staff (female, black hair I think) shouted at us ‘YOU NEED TO DO TRACK AND TRACE!’ I was actually trying to do it while she shouted that. I then asked my parter to pass me his phone so I could complete his to what this member of staff shouted ‘YOU BOTH NEED TO COMPLETE IT!’ To which my parter just turn around to walk as in his words ‘didn’t like being shouted at like a child’ he said to me when we left when he looked at this woman she had a very dirty look in her face. I don’t think we’ll be going back anytime soon after this this. Which is a shame as it is a lovely little pub!!!

First meal at the Thirsty Pigs new menu! Fantastic value and great service.
Recommend it 100%.
Always been a great pub but now with some low price and quality food, it's the whole package - well done to all staff

Wow... When we are on a holiday we don't usually go to the same places twice but that was an exception. The staff is very friendly, prices of drinks really good with excellent offers on different days. The selection of drinks is very impressive too. The place is very clean and Covid safe.
I was very surprised that there were no many people inside as places like this need some financial support.

Popped in to have a drink, the Ale was good and a great building. One of the oldest building in Maidstone.

Great selection of drinks for such a small pub. Easy to strike up a conversation in the bar area. Dogs are welcome in the bar area and beer garden. There are a selection of board games upstairs, and different rooms to sit in. Be careful not to hit your head!

One of the oldest buildings in Maidstone with delightful low ceilings and even lower beams. An ultra friendly and cheery landlord who offers customers tasters. Always four real ales on hand pumps. Discounts for CAMRA members, pensioners with a bus pass and emergency service personnel. A small back yard with the inevitable smokers and an upper storey which doesn't appear to get used much. The pub will bring a smile to your face.

Hi, we have been staying in kouki for the last 11 years but this will be are first stay in the sunset, have read the reviews and can't wait to meet Vasillias and the family they sound amazing we fly out on the 19th June, could I please ask, I understand we need to provide our own toilet rolls etc but do we also need to bring tea towels? And do we get towels in the bathroom as well? Thank you Kelly Franklin x
