Don't bother you will never get to go, have wasted so many days booking this 10 or twelve maybe more and over years now, always the same the weather looks perfect but they cancel anyway. On one occasion I saw a balloon up in the sky. I think Its a massive con but my partner convinced we will get to do it and frankly I just want to forget about it there's other things we could be doing on the days we write off waiting for this. (I'd like to know if anyone ever managed to get off the ground.)

Thank you for getting in touch. We're so sorry to hear you haven't been able to get in the air with us yet.
We understand your frustrations owing to the time span you have held the vouchers and of course the cancellations that you have experienced. As we offer an experience that is entirely at the risk of cancellation or postponement due to the weather-dependent nature, we do try to make every effort at the point of purchase to make customers aware of this, and as such give customers the opportunity to purchase either refundable or non-refundable vouchers.
In reference to the other balloons you have seen, without a company name mentioned, we can only assume this would be a privately owned or smaller balloon, which is governed by different laws and regulations to Virgin Balloons.
The cancellations and subsequent wait to take your flight are down to our responsibility; to ensure the safety of you, our passengers. Despite the disappointment caused, we will not fly passengers if it is not safe or legal to do so. Even when factoring this in, we are still hugely successful in getting our passengers airborne here in the UK and fly more than 20,000 passengers a year!
I've spoken to the customer service team, and it does look like there may be a few options we could offer you due to the time span you've held these vouchers. I am genuinely sorry that your experience with us has not met your expectations. As you would expect from a Virgin company, customer service and user experience are one of our absolute top priorities, so I apologise if you feel we have fallen short.
