Visited on my way to a conference in Birmingham, a slight detour that was worth it! Set in a park, the ruined abbey is get surviver from medieval Dudley and the snow just added to the atmosphere… set within a large park, the site is Free to visit, Allow 20-30 mins for a look around.

Nice play area for the kids, lovely gardens to walk through, an area to play football and the Priory itself is lovely up see. There is free parking in the side roads. You can’t really ask for more from a free park. There is a bit of litter but that’s because of the people who use it.

Nice surprise little park tucked away. Nice and flat to walk around. Clean and well kept. Play area great for kids under 10

Such a lovely place to visit, the Priory ruins are stunning and make a fabulous background for photo shots. The kids park is excellent, been there many times with my granddaughter.
You can stroll around the gardens and watch the birds and squirrels.
There are tennis courts and a community centre well you can attend craft sessions

Being a nature lover priory Park attracts me for its good plantation, beautiful flowers, pathways and ruins from a part of castle. Tennis courts and other practice play areas are added advantage

A Bostin place, even if it's raining, honestly! As you walk through the Priory, you get a sense of briefly how it might have been and where the walls had been.

Priory of St James was built in the 12th century. Henry 8th destroyed all the Catholic priories in England leaving the ruins only to see today.
Buildings have been put on the site since. There is an irony that despite Henry local couples come for wedding photography today.
There isn't much that gives a clue as to the shape and use of the priory.

The Priory Park is a nice place to visit. There are some wonderful flowers, good paths for a walk, and the ruins are stunning.
However, I picked up some rubbish and next to the bin there was a parked car. Inside two men were rolling joints and had many little baggies on their laps. It’s a shame that the criminal element do not even try to hide their illegal activities. There was also a younger kid (teenager) hanging out next to the wooden statute of the people on the other end of the park. He seemed a little nervous. I wouldn’t recommend a visit to the park at night. If this is what is going on in the day I can only imagine what happens at night. It’s sad because this is a nice and interesting place to visit. I am sure the ruins look nice when they are lit up at night, just be careful if you are headed there anytime of the day.
