AVOID AT ALL COSTS ESPECIALLY IF NEED ADDITIONAL NEEDS.
I messaged the other day to say I would need to attend with my assistance dog. I've been met with nothing but disrespect and abuse
Told my health doesn't matter. It's only 45minutes you can manage without her in that time. She can't be well trained if she is home trained. You have to have paperwork ( no you don't it's not legally required) if you can't cope with it then I suggest you don't come. Tbese are all the remakes I've had off the manager Becky
When I ask if I could go on the access boat: You can't go on the access boat where assistance dog go because you aren't registered disabled
Done nothing at all to support or Listen and had a phone call where I've just ended it in tears. because I don't matter over everyone else apparently

We only managed to do the 45 mins trip- we would have loved to have the time to do a longer one. It was a really interesting trip with really knowledgeable staff. It was great value for money.
We also had lunch in the cafe which had a great view of the canal. The staff were really friendly, the food thoroughly enjoyable, service was quick and great value

We went on two trips. The 45min and 4 hour. Both interesting, fun and the skippers were well informed and hilarious. We learnt alot. Truly wonderful experience. Highly recommend

My wife and I took our 4 grandchildren on the 45 minute barge trip through tunnels yesterday. It was our 3rd or 4th time on this trip but our 1st with all of the grandchildren.
They enjoyed it thoroughly and the boat people were friendly and informative.
We took a few picnic assortments with us and after our barge trip made our way upstairs to the outside cafe seating area. It wasn't full by any means and there were plenty of empty chairs and tables. After about 10 minutes a female member came to us and said "you can't sit there and eat your own food".
My wife being compliant said "fine" and packed our remaining foodstuff back in the bag. I wasn't best pleased and she told me not to make a scene for upsetting the kids.
This outing which cost us £60 for the boat trip plus she spent another £20 in the gift shop on the children. Surely having spent this amount we would be entitled to sit in peace with a nice view over the canal. Apparently not, unless you pay inflated prices for the privilege 🤔. Really angry and disappointed this episode spoiled a potentially nice day with our little ones.

The boat ride, tour guide and staff were great. Loved the history. Some of the tour we could not enjoy or hear due to a screaming child, as a parent you need to pick wisely when you take such young children, this spoilt the trip for us. We also looked into the Halloween trip but as children as young as three go free, we will not be returning, this would be better for older children.

One of the best canal trips I’ve been on ,the commentary was excellent,the only problem was the cafe was understaffed and food orders were 40+ minutes with a poor selection,the young staffed cope very well under the pressure.

I purchased the tickets (6 hour - 18/08) as a treat for Father’s Day for my Dad who has always been interested in the canals. We had a lovely day, the weather was beautiful and both the driver and Nathan the skipper were great. They were informative and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our day. I followed the recommendation to bring our own cushions which I think was a good shout and we pre-ordered a packed lunch prior to our trip that we picked up just before we set off. I believe the packed lunch was pretty good value when you compare to other larger chain coffee shops.

Booked the 45 minute ride through the canals and it was absolutely brilliant....over to quick.
Myself and my husband were the only 2 adults booked but were joined by a group of 40 school children and teachers. At first I thought O No but they behaved really well, were quiet and listened to the guide telling them the history....very nice to see.
Our guide through the tunnels was MARK and he was very informative telling us all about the history of how the canals began and was very funny too.
The short film was very informative. We also enjoyed the light and music show in the Singing Cavern
Mark then demonstrated Legging which was how they used to move the barges through the canals....the children loved it.
When we visit our son this way later in the year we will definitely return as we would like to do the longer ride which is 4 hours.
I highly recommend this to all ages.....ITS A MUST.

Huge thanks to Ian and Nathan who took us on a fascinating trip exploring both the Netherton and Dudley canal tunnels as part of the Two Tunnel boat trip organised by the Dudley Canal Trust. Ian kept us informed throughout with details of the geology, history, culture and shared amusing anecdotes as we made our way through the canals and locks. Thoroughly recommend this trip and others offered by the Trust.

We went on the cancel tunnel ride as our 4 year old was interested in canals. We knew it was in a tunnel so thought why not!?
We were slightly disappointed to go into the narrow tunnel to quickly come out again however we were so wrong! We were amazed by the network of tunnels that followed and never would have thought a small cinema would have been in the smaller cavern.
Simply amazing and we were guided by Mark?? who knew his stuff and added some comedy bites along the way.
A must do trip! Worth the money.
(Hope they can extend the other tunnel)

We're in the early stages of planning a first-ever narrowboat holiday in the UK. Hi do you have an idea of when you can start operating again since the latest release from lockdown announcement? I presume you are classed as outside activities. I was hoping to book for the weekend of 23-25 April for my husbands birthday. I was planning a weekend in Dudley or surrounding area as I know he would also like to visit the Black Country Museum which I believe is close by. Hi there,
The site itself is free to enter and includes a small art display, a few free exhibitions about the area and the tunnels, a shop and a restaurant. The boat trips have individual costs depending on the length of trip you want to go on.

Hi, I enjoyed my 45 minute boat trip greatly and did a gift aid donation and was given a 'free return visit' season ticket. But I am not sure what is meant by a 'free return visit' season ticket because isn't entry to the building/exhibition free anyway? Does the free return visit mean another free boat trip please?

By adding a gift aid declaration to your ticket you are entitled to free repeat boat trips on our standard 45 minute trip for a year. So yes, free boat trips! It's our way of saying thank you for your gift aid declaration, as that entitles us to extra money from the government. Thanks! :)
