Laid back, very relaxing.
Excellent old-style pub food, served with a smile and gracious manners.
This pub will not suit the oh so precious, "don't you know who I am ?" brigade but for the rest of us, simply superb.

Ate here on the first day of the Eat out to help out scheme and really enjoyed our meal. We have been for dinner and lunch a couple of times before and wanted to come back. The menu was slightly scaled down I guess due to current climate so my husbands favorite, Club sandwich wasnt available. He had the burger instead which he thoroughly enjoyed and I had a prawn salad and the most gorgeous home made chips!! All that food for £10, cheaper than eating at home. We will most certainly be back!!

Four of us had lunch there and the food was excellent, the best chicken, bacon, and leek pie we’ve ever had at a really good price. Lovely old pub and lovely landlord. Well worth a visit.

Traditional pub food was surprisingly good for the budget price. Choice of 3 hand pulled beers. Very much recommended and worth a visit.

Way out in the sticks, good parking and a welcome bar team. Old style pub so a little ‘shabby chic’ but just great for a pint and some food. There is a decent range of beers and ales, the theakstons was particularly good. Typical pub grub menu. Not exactly inspired but certainly good solid home cooked food, excellent prices too.
Ssshhhh....the management may prefer more trade but we wouldn’t it to change...it’s great just as it is and around the country pubs like this are dying fast!

I would just like to say that the Baxter’s arms in Fenwick is one of the most relaxed friendly pubs I’ve ever been to , a comfortable pub with log fires in the cooler months a beer garden in the warmer months. The food is rustic ,hearty and flavoursome, service exceptional with friendly staff. It’s almost to good to be true a great friendly place with a wide range of characters Well done Baxter’s arms you’ve got it just right .

Called today (sat lunch time) for a bite to eat. The place is homely and clean, lovely log burner on and decorated nice ready for Xmas. Had pie chips and peas and it was absolutely delicious. Real good value for money. Can’t wait to return! Guy behind the bar ( assuming the owner) very friendly and made us feel very welcome .

We enjoyed our visit. Called in for lunch. The food was excellent. Nice choice, cooked fresh, good wholesome country food.
Old fashioned type of pub, serving real ale. The staff were friendly, and we had a great meal.
