Wythenshawe Hall is Closed!
Unfortunately, the information on this site regarding the hours of opening is incorrect!
Wythenshawe Hall hasn't been open to the public since March 2016 when it was partly destroyed by an arson attack. After several years of restoration work, which has now been completed, the Friends of Wythenshawe Hall are hoping to re-open the Hall to the public later this year so please keep an eye on our website for details of when this will happen.
The other facilities within the Park are open and it's a wonderful place to visit, full of little surprises, so do come along and enjoy.

Visited the park and was surprised by the lovely hall which is still being renovated. The park itself is a fabulous mix of tarmac paths and trail. Free parking. Would be lovely to go in summer with a picnic

Since the tragic fire caused by an arson attack almost 3 years ago now, we have watched Wythenshawe Hall slowly be rebuilt, I have attached some photos of the signs displayed and the hall itself which are there for the public to see. I really do like the fact they have had the rebuild on view for the public to see and watch!
Of course it has been cordoned off for health and safety while it’s under rebuilding! But your still able to watch the front of the building the face of this stunning Tudor building come back to life!
There’s plenty of parking for all (Disabled or young family parking) when the car parks are full they have been known to open the side fields next to the Hall!
This outstanding Park is also great for Dog walkers (please clean up after your Furry friends)
There’s a huge park suitable for all ages with a large Slide, swings, roundabout roped climbing tree, baby area with swings, and a good looking climbing area with a baby slide.
There’s plenty of picnic benches!
There’s a football area, plenty of trees to climb! A golf course! And even a park edge walking path!
A funfair comes muting the school holidays and there’s an ice cream van who is always there!
He parks farm which is often open to the public unless the animals are unwell (which then the animals come first and they close the gates to the farm)
But the grown fruit or veg or even onsite Honey and Eggs can be for sale in the onsite farm shop!
There’s also the green housed adventure for a stunning little wonder! You have to see this and the fish the birds or even the home of many of the local fairies including the tooth fairy’s house!

Was lovely to bring my toddler somewhere I spent so many days as a child. The park was still the same! And the farm is still absolutely rubbish!
HOWEVER the pièce de résistance was the tropical “jungle” greenhouse and the gardens and the bee club. We spent two hours wandering around. The plants were so beautiful, the gardens were so well maintained. My husband commented that this is what Tatton Parks gardens was missing - passionate gardeners who maintain it properly. The bee club was amazing, intriguing and they may have gained some new recruits!

We always spent most of the summer holidays having picnics and playing in wythenshawe park. I have lots of fond memories. The park is big eith lovely mature trees. The hall is up for repair but still stands solid in the grounds. Gardens are great. Wonderful place for bird watching and a good stroll around its grounds. A little oasis in wythenshawe.

Due to the arson a few years ago the hall is still been rebuilt and as a consequence fenced off from the public.
The park grounds are large and good for walking etc.
Kids play area well used.

We were pleased to se that the Tropical House is to close for refurbishment in the New Year as it's a charming place with interesting plants, birds and fish.
It makes a great retreat from typical Manchester weather and e really hope that the makeover restores it to what must have been its former glory.

Wythenshawe Park is absolutely beautiful! I live within walking distance from here and it is sometimes taken for granted. My husband and I took our daughter for a picnic there and we really did have a fantastic day. We did a bit of blackberry picking and took a walk through the wooded area, unfortunately we couldn't visit the hall it's self as it is still being refurbished from the fire damage, I suspect it will not be open to the public for quite some time by the look of it which truly is a shame as it is beautiful inside and it's a shame that one person has ruined it for hundreds of others. If you are passing or fancy a cheap day out with the kids this is a fantastic place to go, there's a big play area for the kids to enjoy, and a beautiful community farm to visit and please don't over look the flower gardens and the greenhouse they really are a hidden gem!
