Omg playing the same old music from ten years ago downstairs. Asked for some recent indie songs and didn't even know them. Joked there aren't any female artists and boss would tell him off if he played them. Disappointed.

Located in the Northern Quarter, near Victoria Train Station. We attend a Star Trek meeting first Sunday of every month. Sci-Fi Bar but ideal for anyone. Good Staff, good bar snacks and drinks.

We popped in here for a quick lunch. Previously visited for drinks on an evening out but thought we'd try the food. It was reasonably priced compared to other NQ eateries on the same street.
The Sean Bean burger was huge - the burger itself was thick & due to this was a little soggy inside. Curly fries were delicious.
My partner had a burger, which again was huge & he said was delicious. However the chips were disgusting! They tasted of old chip fat, weren't crispy at all and looked like they had been reheated around 3 times.
Between us we had one great meal! Best bet seems to be a beef burger and curly fries!

Went to bar 21 for drinks, I have been going sporadically for the past 6 years and unfortunately the experience seems to get worse each time. The icing on the cake was ordering a Gin and Tonic and receiving what I believe was a Gin and Lemonade, when questioning this (in a polite and friendly manner) the bar staff were extremely rude and ignorant and told me it was G&T, proclaiming I was drunk and they were sober. Several people from my group, as well as a few people from outside my group tried the drink and confirmed it was not G&T (it was blatantly obvious).
I am not a difficult customer, but I was annoyed at how the bar staff or manager refused to change my drink, or deal with the situation professionally, especially when I was part of a large group that had spent a lot of money in the venue.
The customer service was appalling, atmosphere hideously average and I certainly won't be going back after last nights experience, there are plenty of other places in the Northern Quarter that are less pretentious and offer a much better night.

Great for a night out. We went after going to the comedy club. The venue is great but gets very full and therefore very hot. But its a great modern and clean venue.

Went here with family and had what were the nicest 'homemade' pancakes I've had in a long time! Great value for money and generous portion sizes. I'll definitely be visiting again for breakfast!

Visited Friday 6pm. Very busy but service was quick & efficient. Drinks reasonably priced & burgers to die for. This was our second visit to eat & again we were not disappointed. Can't fault it.

We were trying out new places to drink in the Northern Quarter when we tried Bar21 as it is now called, not many people in but what a shame because the drinks were reasonable and we looked on vouchercloud for somewhere to eat they had a deal on for a pizza and a bottle of beer for £5 the pizza was first class and the staff were so friendly we would highly recommend Bar 21 for this deal alone but we will be returning for drinks again this weekend

cool film themed bar in the buzzing Northern Quarter. drinks reasonably priced and nice. however...surprisingly disappointing food. I booked a table for my birthday celebrations with the girls, good prices, but my friend's pasta wasn't cooked and another had pizza that came with onions that weren't stated on the menu. both of them sent their food back and had to get fresh orders. I have eaten here a few times and it's been great, so perhaps an off-night? won't stop me coming here, at least for drinks!

Visited here for lunch on a friends recommendation. Worth a visit it was too!
It was 'Jurassic Park' month so I had the 'Jurassic Burger' - pulled pork with jalepenos and nachos - absolutely lovely and definitely worth a try. Came with a mini ribs and sausage in a roll. All this for £6 - absolutely bargain.
Also stupidly got a starter as didn't think the main would be enough - big mistake. The portion sizes here are HUGE. Excellent value for money.
The place itself is all kitted out in quirky / sci fi/ movie paraphernalia. The staff were pleasant and the food came quite quickly.
Bad points? Visited on ParkLife day so it was a bit noisy and rowdy - can't be helped i suppose. Also ordered the 'Corn Dogs' to start - Ive had Corn Dogs in the States and what arrived wasn't Corn Dogs - more like breakfast sausages randomly wrapped in a swirl of pastry. Random.
Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area - you have a lot of choice in this particular part of the northern quarter but for quality food and for value for money I suggest you take yourself into Bar 21.
