Es war sehr schwer zu finden, geholfen haben die Bilder des Gebäudes aber es hat sich gelohnt. Wer Wein und/oder Geschichte Fan ist wird begeistert sein. Die Preise der zu erwartenden Weine sind ebenfalls gut, z.B. als Souvenir.

Un po’ nascosto e poco segnalato. Come tutte le attrazioni di Strasburgo, anche qui non abbiamo trovato brochure in italiano, ne il personale ne lo parlava, però almeno abbiamo potuto noleggiare le audioguide. Luogo suggestivo, molto bello!!

Charming and different.

Located just outside the main touristy areas of La Petite France is this must-see attraction. If you like wine, history, architecture, the art of cooperage, or all of the above, you will enjoy visiting this underground urban wine cellar, home to one of the oldest wines in the world. It takes about 30 minutes with the excellent recorded audio tour (headsets were 3 Euros when we visited). In addition to its storied past, it is also a working cellar, used by some local vineyards to age current vintages, likely as a novelty but you must admit that is charming and all proceeds go to raise funds for their landlord, the local hospital above the cellar.

As others have noted, it is not the easiest place to find. Put "1 Pl. de l'Hôpital, 67000 Strasbourg, France" in your Google Maps app and switch to street view, which may help you find the exterior staircase (on the yellow building) that leads down to the entrance.

l'originalité du lieu en plein centre ville ,dans l'enceinte des vastes hospices civils dont l'architecture est loin de nos CHU modernes, quelle empreinte de l'histoire ! pour les amateurs d'histoire et de bon vins puisque que l'on peut y faire son petit marché et se faire livrer si vous n'avez pas de place dans la valise .......on y pénètre par une petite porte après un escalier qui descend ( pas toujours évident à trouver à cause des voitures en stationnement ) et on en ressort par un ascenseur moderne donc pas de problème si vous êtes chargé

This was a very unique wine tour that occurs in the caves of the hospital. The gentleman who gave the tour was delightful and funny. The wines were good and inexpensive.

A wine cellar?, more a shop then an authentic place to visit.

Very disappointing. Hard to find and more a shop than a nice visit to a cellar. Yes, they have barrels of wine in the cellar, no they are welcoming you, yes you can buy wine, no you leave satisfied when you expected to visit something special. Don’t spend your time travelling there.

Interessant, aber vorallem wer mit dem Auto da ist. Zu Fuss geht dort wohl niemand einkaufen. Interessant das grosse Fass mit fast 26'000 Liter Fassungsvermögen.

Een bijzondere wijnkelder in het ziekenhuis

Tijdens ons bezoek in Straatsburg hebben wij een bezoek gebracht aan de caves historic de Strasbourg. Het is even zoeken, maar dan heb je op het terrein van het ziekenhuis en de medische faculteit een complete wijnkelder met zelfs een vat wijn uit 1472. Leuke rondleiding en je kunt er ook nog een lekkere lokale wijn kopen. Zeker doen als je in Straatsburg bent.

Interesting visit

It is located under what is now the hospital. The entrance is not that easy to find, but if you have the occasion, it's nice to visit. It's quite short (around 15-30 min) but you will have the possibility to learn more about this old cave and the amazing barrels it contains. It's free and you have the option to buy wine on the spot.

Cave à vin de qualité

Cette sublime cave à vin ravira les habitués comme les amateurs de vin. Au jour de notre visite avait lieu une exposition avec dégustation, chaque table étant tenue par un vigneron qui présentait ses produits.
Chacun était passionné et passionnant, nous avons eu avec tous des échanges très intéressants et enrichi nos connaissances œnologiques.
Du Sylvaner sec au muscat issu de vendanges tardives, du pinot noir au crémant d'Alsace, des vins traditionnels au plus conventionnels... Un véritable bonheur !
Outre l'aspect dégustatif (permis par l'exposition), vous trouverez dans les Caves historiques le plus vieux vin blanc du monde (1472 !) , et son tonneau de stockage originel !

Je recommande, idéal pour y passer entre 30 minutes et une heure à échanger avec des spécialistes ! En revanche prévoyez 2 heures s'il y a une dégustation et que vous souhaitez en profiter de A à Z !
