“舒适平静的小镇”

不轮平日假日都没有太多人的一个城市，可以在老城区悠闲的随意走走，河岸边风光明媚，适合散步、慢跑、放空。

“For a "small town" this really is an impressive one”

Worth a look.

The main square is dominated by the statue of Joan of Arc. Also in the square is the tourist information office where we bought tickets for the noddy train and were able to purchase some discounted tickets for a couple of the chateaus we had planned to visit. There is a good variety of restaurants situated in the square, and all major atractions seem to be just off or very near the square.

Città facilmente visitabile a piedi

Il percorso del centro svaria dalla cattedrale fino alla Loira ed è estremamente facile e piacevole camminare sotto i portici fino alla Casa di Giovanna d'Arco

Couldn't pass it up

Since I'm from New Orleans and would be driving right by the city of Orléans, I had to stop. We wandered a bit, saw the statue, had lunch and were on our way. May go back if I'm close again, but not high on the list.

Center square of town with a nice wide open view of the surrounding buildings with eateries, sometimes a carousel, and other places. Nice for pics and taking a stroll. Worth coming through for photos and then continuing on your visit. There's also a tourist office in the square.

Will be back very soon

Unfortunately, we hadn't much time to spend in Orleans as it was the last town we visited on our 10 day Normandy-Brittany-Loire tour. We had to rush back to Paris for our flight back home.
However, being there for only two hours we managed to see the magnificent Cathedral and few surrounding streets around it in the old town. That was enough to decide to come again very soon.

Très belle surprise!

Nous sommes tombés sous le charme de cette ville d’Orleans avec ses rues pavées et ses maisons en colombages. Nous nous sommes baladés plusieurs heures dans les rues de la ville et sur les bords de Loire. Surprise et le ravissement étaient à chaque coin de rue. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!
