Both Chenonceau and Chambord castles were spectacular. Dimitri our private guide was terrific. He made sure to provide enough information without overloading us with dates and names etc. Further, he took the time to answer all of our questions, and make sure we had some time to explore on our own. Totally recommend this excursion if you are looking for a hassle free day of sightseeing.

I’ve been to many wine tours. This was easily the worst I’ve ever had and wish I could get my time and money back. They take you to two wineries. The first is absolutely atrocious. You pull up to an ugly driveway with trucks and hoses. You are taken into a stuffy cavern wi ty wine barrels and the guide there speaks monotone, uncharismatic and hard to hear. You see no grapes, no vineyards, and they have you sample white wine only. There is no red wine nor cheese or bread. You can’t even buy it. There is no view. Easily the worst wine tasting experience I’ve had. The second winery is much better and a pleasant experience. They actually make an effort. But it’s hard to shake off the feeling of the first location.

Fabulous tour! Our guide, Alex, was so knowledgeable, pleasant and patient. The castles were big and pretty. The private lunch was fresh and so delicious. Thank you for such a lovely time!

Nice pace of the day. We really enjoyed our guide Camille , she was excellent and gave us a great tour. Lunch was amazing at the private chateau. Very enjoyable day.

The guide was extremely informative and entertaining and we enjoyed the half day tour very much. We felt that it would benefit from an extra hour to allow visiting of D'Azay-le-Rideau village main street and seeing the beautiful Villandry gardens, hence only 4 stars.

It was overall a lovely but rushed day. This is not really the fault of the tour company per se; but honestly, due to the drive time involved in getting to and back from the Chateaus, the actual time left to spend at the Chateaus felt very rushed. This is definitely more of an "introduction" type of experience due to the limited time. We did not get to see all the gardnes on the properties as had to rush to catch the van back. For those with limited time and no car, it's a great way to get a taste of the Chateaus. If you really want to explore and enjoy the gardens in a more in-depth, leisurely fashion, I can see why doing it on your own is probably the way to go.

We are visiting in November and staying off the beaten path at Grand Hôtel de l'Abbaye in BEAUGENCY. Do you run tours at that time of year and have any options to meet us where we are staying? Looks to be an hour drive to most tour meet up spots. Thx!

We were never rushed when visiting the Chateaus. Our guide was very good about understanding what the group preferred as far as time was concerned and did a great job helping us absorb the atmosphere by setting up at wine, cheese and bread platter across from a bridge and river right in front of the chateau knowing we all need a break from walking and were parched.
