We used Paris Walks in 2010 and again in September 2023! Still great! We did the Marais walk with Peter, Paris during the occupation with Brad, the Orsay Museum with Oriel and the Louvre with Cerise! Each of them is an expert in their area.

Highly recommend the tour of Marais section of Paris with Peter. Peter was well informed and a natural teacher. Answered any and all questions. Great tour!

Did the The Village of Montmartre tour in mid May. Great tour and well paced. It does end at Sacré Coeur Basilica so be prepared for a slow climb. This was our third walk with this company but the first with a group of any size as the others were in the winter with no more than 5 people. The guide handled the group well and kept things moving. Nice mix of information. Time well spent.

Our guide Brigette for the Ile de La Cite & Ile Ste Louis was knowledgeable, but this was more of a standing tour than walking. We covered very little ground and ran over the 2 hour time.

I am a avid traveler for decades and addicted to walking tours. I did 3 with Paris Walks with Bridget and Chris and they were great. Very informative and entertaining.
I also have to compliment Chris for control of the group. Too often there are people who have a ton of questions that are not necessarily of interest to the group, and they an be distracting. Chris politely discouraged this.
Generally, on walking tours you are shown thing that you might have walked by a dozen times and never noticed, as happened with these.
This is one of the best. I say “one” because I have used theirs affiliate, London Walks, more times than I can count. They are the gold standard in walking tours.

We had two tours with this company. They stood us up both times. Trip 1 was a skip the line closing time at the Louvre. We were early to the meeting point. Another couple was there waiting also. We both called, spoke to different people,. It took about a half hour on the phone as they first said we were late. Finally they admitted the tour had been canceled. We never were notified. We scheduled the tour for a different day, had to rearrange our schedule but we were able to go.
The second tour was the Heart of Paris tour with a seine cruise. This one was also canceled with no notice. We were there at the appointed spot but no one showed up, no notification, phone calls made. Ended up witha different tour provider that had a cancelation. The tour guide on this tour said that guides don't want to work for them. Do not use this provider. We missed out doing other things because of this provider. They offered us credits for future trips. Will not be using them.

We did two tours with them, both were fantastic. Our tour guide on both tours was Peter, and he was extremely knowledgeable, and made both tours fun (all our teens enjoyed the tours). Highly recommend when in Paris. We also booked separately a private tour with them for the Musee D'Orsay, the tour was good but we wish we hired Peter for that as well.

I was on a tour group that used Paris walks for a guide through the Marais (Brittany). She was great, and I was staying on so I asked if she did other walks and she gave me the Paris Walks list. I ended up doing 4 walks with Chris the next week ( Medieval Paris. French revolution. Paris during the German occupation, Hemingway's Paris). The guides are informative and fun. They provide an excellent overview of the time period and also some amusing trivia. If he doesn't mention it, ask Chris about the bit on horse collars. Outstanding experience! I'll do more Paris Walks on my next trip.

Don't miss the "Hemingway's Paris" tour with Paris Walks through the Latin Quarter. Our guide, Chris, was simply outstanding, one of the best guides I've ever had in many years of traveling. He was knowledgeable, witty, charismatic and funny as he educated us about Hemingway, his circle of friends and acquaintances and the Latin Quarter. We also went in and saw the historic St. Eiteinne-du-Mont church next to the Pantheon. He also gave the group several excellent restaurant recommendations at the conclusion. At at cost of 25€ per person, this was a great deal.
The walked tour lasted a pleasant two hours and ended in the Mouffetard market street. Chris highly recommended we read Hemingway's "A Moveable Feast" about Paris, along with "Ulysses" by James Joyce and "Down and Out In Paris and London" by George Orwell. You couldn't ask more in a guide. Plus, he provided the group brochures of the other walking tours offered by Paris Walks. They offer a broad range of tours from the Old Marais Quarter to Montmare, the French Revolution and the Louvre, among others.
The walked tour lasted a pleasant two hours and ended in the Mouffetard market street. Chris highly recommended we read Hemingway's "A Moveable Feast" about Paris, along with "Ulysses" by James Joyce and "Down and Out In Paris and London" by George Orwell. My mom and I took the Marais walk with Peter during our recent trip. Wow! Excellent! He took us through places we would have skipped over or not understood them in the context of their history. He gave an engaging and historical story-driven tour. You will thoroughly enjoy any walk in any neighborhood with this group. We learned about Paris Walks through our experience with London Walks, also excellent and 20 years later I can still recall many of the stories I learned in London. These are small groups with historically sound, excellent guides, reasonable cost. I highly recommend taking one or more of their tours in Paris.

My husband and I have three days in Paris in November. He has never been before. We are healthy but 75+. We would like to take 1-2 walks, what walks would you recommend?

We've done a number of them and enjoyed them all. It's really about your expectations of Paris. History, food? Montmartre and Pere Lachaise might be topographically challenging.They were for me and I'm a tad younger than you.
