Very impressive collection of tableaux, quite moving, in a beautiful setting - just to the side of the upper basilica and a world away from the crowds and the bustle of the town. The expressions on the faces are quite lifelike - the bored centurion and Simon clearly saying ‘do I have to? Now I’ll be late home.” A highlight of my trip to Lourdes.

Una delle parti più affascinanti del Santuario di Lourdes; in verità è appena fuori i cancelli, ma rimane una parte integrante dell'esperienza lourdiana. La salita della collina, costellata di statue in bronzo dorato, soprattutto alla mattina presto, lascia una sensazione indimenticabile. Sia ai credenti che a chi si avvicina con interesse più turistico.

Reviving the Passion of the Christ ✝️, like in the Mel Gibson's famous movie.

Croyants où non, l'ascension de ce chemin de croix dans un cadre arboré est agréable à la fraîcheur. Chaque scène est commentée pour une bonne compréhension de celui-ci. La redescente est assez raide, une rampe accompagne les personnes qui le souhaitent.

L' histoire d'une des croyances des humains ..... écrite par des Terriens et Terriennes qui deviennent des chrétiens & chrétiennes.
Très peu des chrétiens & chrétiennes pour faire le parcours ils préfèrent la Grotte de Massabielle pour toucher la paroi et marmonner des paroles inintelligibles ........ Pour tous les valides chrétiens & chrétiennes; pas le faire c'est un manque de dévotion et d'exemplarité pour le respect de leur religion........

De 15 staties van de kruisweg slingeren langs een redelijk steil bosrijk gebied, langs het 1500 meter lange pad. Bij elke staties staan een groep mooie goudkleurige figuren. Die de lijdensweg van Christus verbeelden. We hebben de Grote kruisweg gelopen, erg mooi.

Just to the south of the Sanctuary of Lourdes main grounds, there is a hillside walking path called the Way of the Cross. The walkway is 1.5 km in length and includes 115 cast iron figures painted gold and positioned 14 separate scenes which represent the various scenes representing the 14 Stations of the Cross. There is also a Scala Sancta with kneeling steps that you will see at the beginning of the trail.
The walkway is paved but uphill much of the way so best to have good walking shoes. If it is hot and sunny on the day, bring a hat if its sunny and water to drink. There are a few park bench spots to sit and have a rest along the route if needed. Allows a few minutes to stop and view the Santa Scala scene
Note: There is a second (Lower) Way of the Cross walk just on the north side of the river where marble sculptures representing the Stations of the Cross have been placed on flat grounds, making for an alternative for those unable to complete the 1.5 km uphill walk required to complete complete the (Upper) Way of the Cross walk.

bellissima esperienza percorrendo un tratto di strada in salita con tutte le stazioni della via crucis raffigurate con statue in metallo a grandezza naturale ad effetto realistico. In cima alla salita, è rappresentato il Golgota e le tre croci. Durante il percorso di ritorno un grosso masso a rappresentare il Sepolcro. Andrebbe a mio avviso segnalato meglio.

En un bellísimo paseo, en el que los peregrinos pueden rendir culto a Jesús, con reproducciones doradas de las Estaciones. No dejes de admirar la Resurrección de Cristo... ¡Magnífico!

Sitio espectacular, dónde ves el viacrusis,las estatuas están hechas perfectamente. Las caras, los gestos, vas subiendo la pequeña montaña cos todas las imágenes y al bajar igual. Vale mucho la pena ir. Él caminó no es llano, tendrían que arreglarlo porque mucha gente no puede subir fácilmente
