Terribly busy, many beggars and drugs are openly dealt and used.

Conclusion Opinions and testimonies on the dangers in the Lille Wazemmes market .
After several weeks of waiting for an answer from the City Hall of Lille regarding the risks and dangers we may encounter as a visitor to the market of Lille Wazemmes , are no answer!
I have decided to inform you of these dangers!
The market of Lille Wazemmes was one of the best markets in France a few years ago!
Today we may encounter problems have let us visit this market!
1 Security:
Despite a police presence (inadequate)!
-There's a big drug problem.
-trafficking in cigarettes for tape.
-Some streets you are not healthy safe!
-More and more thieves pickpockets.
Fights are getting worse.
-Risk of serious accident on food cooking stands.
- risk of falls in certain outbound and accident when trucks enter the market.
-
Health:
-problems of risk of food poisoning by lack of hygiene , by expired products.
More and more rats.

Wild unpacking!
More and more mandions!
Problem of passage some terraces even blocks the pedestrian passage!
- Sales of counterfeit products I advise you not to buy brand products because most are fake!
It is for all these reasons and with great sadness that I do not advise you to come visit or buy in the market of Lille Wazemmes!

Very Large Point of Sale with lots of choices. In the hall it is the mouth stands and outside we find everything! Lots of people and great atmosphere on Sunday!

Large open air market specially for food and household things. More than a flea market. Easy to walk from centre or go on metro. Good to see it flourishing.

Very nice place with friendly traders. Instead of eating in the big chains downtown, it is better to eat here, with small tables placed in the middle of the Point of Sale, fresh and homemade dishes in addition.

An incredible Point of Sale where chickens, clothing, fabrics, fripes, fruits and vegetables meet... in a cosmopolitan atmosphere. Les Halles are friendly and give the possibility to buy seafood, bread, cheese... and eat everything on site...

Having read some of the reviews of the market, I thought it would be an interesting place to visit but it was disappointing. Very busy in places, cheap clothing and other items. Food looked ok. We didn’t stay as at times it felt a bit unsafe as a French woman told us to watch our bags/phones for pickpockets. Save your time and go elsewhere.

An excellent activity for the entire family. There are myriad attractions for all ages. The food is superb. Follow your nose to the best fries in the Lille Metropole.
