Quaint village with lots to see!

This town has much to see! Our walking tour started at the cathedral, which is spectacular! Very reminiscent of Notre Dame in Paris, there was so much intricate carving, you could stand there for hours taking it all in. We then walked through town and got to see the famous clock, and all the historic buildings. Some of the buildings are so old and lean so far you wonder how people feel safe living in them! We were there on a Sunday, so not much was open, but we did enjoy popping into a few stores, and even had to visit the McDonald's that was in a historic building! They have an "umbrella alley" here that has umbrellas with historic paintings on the underside which was cool to see. We really enjoyed our afternoon in this historic community.

Very interesting place to visit and the guided audio tour is really informative worth the entry fee and the time it takes to get to the top and when you get there you are rewarded with a great view

Magnificent

Wonderful. I only saw it from the outside because I travel with my dog, but it is really breathtaking. The side towards Place du Vieux-Marché has a small scaffolding for renovations. The most beautiful side, to my taste, is the one towards the cathedral.

The main street.

A beautiful road that starts from the Cathedral to get to the great astronomical clock showing the deities of the week and the phases of the moon.
Definitely one of the most photographed spots in the city, also because the clock is set in a beautiful Renaissance building.

Rue du Gros-Horloge can be described as Rouen's central shopping and nightlife street. It runs from the mighty cathedral under the clock tower of the same name to the Place du Vieux Marché, where Jeanne d'Arc was burned at the stake in 1431. There are many beautiful half-timbered houses and other historic buildings to admire here. You don't have to look out for restaurants for long either. As is often the case, it is best to visit early in the morning when there is not much going on.

Stunning! We stumbled upon this and I couldn't imagine what it would take to create this amazing work of art. There is nowhere in America that you will find a random work of art that is just an archway.

A must-see in Rouen with a thoroughfare leading from the cathedral to the Old Point of Sale. A very shopping street with national signs but also pretty half-timbered houses spanned by the big clock. This one is also beautiful from the front, back and even from below with beautiful sculpted medallions. On the other hand, it is sometimes difficult to take the time to take advantage of it because of the presence of very many marginals near and along this street.
