Very interesting museum visited almost a year ago with a reconstruction of the life and trial of Joan of Arc. Projections made in a beautiful historic site.

An immersive experience that is offered by this museum. Through audio and video interactions we are projected into medieval France that tells us the story of Joan of Arc in detail, involving viewers thanks to the various rooms in which we move.

This is no ordinary museum, but an audiovisual experience. Wearing headphones, the group goes on a tour of various rooms of the archbishop's palace. The trial of Jeanne d'Arc took place here in 1431, before she was burned in the nearby Place du Vieux-Marché. In each room, a longer film sequence is played, through which one is gradually and chronologically introduced to the life story of Saint Joan of Orléans (Jeanne d'Arc). Her story is told retroactively from the perspective of the participants in the rehabilitation process, which completely rehabilitated Johanna decades after her burn.
The whole thing is a really successful and gripping concept that is also well worthwhile for visitors who otherwise have little to do with museums and do not know much about the French national heroine. Clear Recommendation!

Excellent from start to finish, from the incredibly helpful receptionist (who spoke English impeccably) to the experience itself. I audibly gasped upon first entering the second room - the setting of each chapter of immersion really does make it. The story is brought to life quite literally. The experience cost 11E for 1hr15 and was well worth it. You would have paid at least £25 for an event like this in London.

A brilliant museum. We took our 5 year old son and he really enjoyed it (he does like history) The story of Joan is brought to life in a very engaging way and I learnt so much.

A very interesting and well put together exhibition. I knew very little about the history of Joan of Arc apart from the basics and this was informative and definitely inspired me to learn more. The videos told the story well, and kept everyone engaged. The audio guides worked well and all the staff we interacted with were very friendly. I really recommend seeing this if you are in Rouen.

Very interesting visit to do with a particularly neat and informative text. The main actor is outstanding and I learned a lot. Visit that I highly recommend.

It is audiovisual, with helmets in Spanish and other languages. In different rooms they tell stages of the life of Joan of Arc.

We weren’t initially sure we wanted to dedicate our short time in Rouen to this, but ended up being very glad we did! They told her story in a dramatic and pretty thrilling way with a great visual display. They wove in movie clips- examined her story from new perspectives and made it a thought provoking journey. Well worth the time and money- thank you.
