Great library. In the museum part, it is possible to listen to the visit in Provencal, it is great! The exhibition is very interesting, especially on the history of the Comtat venaissin, Carpentras and the collection.

Carpentras has long suffered from a dull image and a cruel lack of tourist attractions to justify the trip. This was repaired with the opening of the Inguimbertine library and museums.
What an incredible restoration of the old and huge 18th century Hotel Dieu! A monumental staircase with its period wrought iron balustrade, then successions of library rooms with thousands of ancient books locked behind their gates and in front of which is presented an astonishing variety of objects from antiquity to the 19th century. Oh, mind-blowing!
Another area is devoted to the history of the city and its essential donors such as Bishop Inguimbert in the 18th century.
Then come the uneven-quality painting rooms, where there are old copies of well-known works, and the remarkable productions of local artists, such as Duplessis, author of the famous Louis XVI in coronation clothes.
This monument and its collections are absolutely worth a visit. Take the guided tour perfectly conducted and valuable to understand everything.
One wish: that the public move because such a beautiful piece of equipment is worth a fortune, if only its operation.

Rarely beautiful. Fantastic paintings and complete history of prehistory to date. The history, the cultures that have lived here and left their mark more than impressive. This isn't just any museum. The collection of books is impressive and extremely rare. It is without a doubt a top museum in France and Europe.

We came especially for temporary exhibition C215. Big fans of the famous street arter, we loved it. It's beautiful! The building is beautiful. The library is impressive and there are some interesting works.

This majestic building houses a huge and magnificent museum.
The permanent exhibition is very interesting and the temporary exhibition dedicated to C215 is superb.

Great. An exceptional and unique place. The building is beautiful. The collection of books and paintings is magnificent. Beautiful paintings. A temporary exhibition of works by C215 of high quality. Must see.

Stunning. The restoration of the former Hotel-Dieu of Carpentras is a model of this kind. Historical, ethnological, cultural and fine arts interest affirmed. The two hours devoted to the visit are rewarding at every moment.

Very beautiful museum in a superb setting. Confusion for the display of entry prices and moreover the temporary exhibition is obligatory. No reduced rate for seniors. Too bad
