Parking nearby. On a large square in the port district with narrow streets the covered market that protects from the sun. Explosion of colors, mixed scents, schools of freshly caught fish, multicolored stalls full of generous fruits and vegetables, stands of cooked dishes, warm atmosphere assured by merchants who challenge the amused barges and conquered by this market rich in many specialties of Provence and other South. We are like the show and the appetite is growing as we walk or let ourselves be tempted by a tasting offered. Restaurants around Marché Forville are also a call to satisfy impatient hungers...

In the old centre of Cannes, the Forville Point of Sale is one of the only buildings to occupy an entire island, a massive volume in contrast to the small townhouses and narrow streets surrounding it. Made of masonry and reinforced concrete between 1929 and 1932, it was built on the site of the former Point of Sale, inaugurated in 1884. This Point of Sale is in the colors of the South, you will find all the ingredients for good cuisine. Everything is local and fresh. A pleasure. It should be noted that this Point of Sale will benefit from major works from 2024. We are delighted to see the result.

Wonderful Stable Point of Sale in the center of Cannes, absolutely recommended. They are doing the work to restore the hanging garden so a bit of fences but it still remains very characteristic and if you want you can also eat.

Every year we come to Cannes we cannot miss a visit to this Point of Sale with many good things and courtesy.
We took cheeses and ate fried courgette flowers. For lunch it is a must for us to stop at the bakery right in front of the fattening to taste the vegetable cakes and pan bagnè. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Point of Sale located in the central area of Cannes close to restaurants and the main walk.

The day we walked around the market was mostly antiques for sale at one end. The other end had some nice home crafted items such as wood animals. Worth a visit as you are wandering through the town

For 20 years I have been buying my seasonal vegetables, fruits and flowers at the Forville market because there are real producers who grow without pesticides. Now we can buy ready-made meals and organic juices, it’s great.
I learned that the Cannes Town Hall decided in the middle of the summer period for 2 years to carry out renovation work... to transfer the market during this period of producers and fishmongers to the aisles under a marquee??? Part of the market such as the butcher's shop window, ready meals and flowers will remain under half of Forville??? Where is the logic ??
Why the fish in the heat? Why the flowers under the covered market?
We must preserve the producers, that’s what makes this market so charming??
Renovation lasting 2 years, the producers will leave because it is too difficult for delivery and they will suffer from the heat..
not very logical all that

What a shame for the city of Cannes
We will go elsewhere to find our farmers, our authentic producers

There is a Post Office that is only a few blocks away, that provides ready to send boxes, both domestic and international, but as you know, postal rates are often more than the value of the merchandise one wants to send, so carry stuff home with you when you can. As I don't know where your cruise finishes, I don't know the advisability of taking stuff with you and posting it later from elsewhere.
