After wandering uphill through narrow streets of Menton you can easily find this treasure. This scenic graveyard is a peaceful place with exceptional view. Absolutely recommended.

Such a beautiful place with many old fine graves of dead of many different nationalities. The walk up to the cemetery offered small picturesque alleys and stunning views of Menton. However, parts of the cemetery were closed due to renovation but it did not matter so much.

The site contains many historic graves, some dating to the early 1800’s. There has been a wide range of care given to the grave sites. Some were decorated with fresh flowers, and others looked like they have been tended for decades.
We made the walk early in the morning when it was cool. We had beautiful views of Menton; but unfortunately, the sun was not the best for viewing/photographing the harbor

The views are amazing but so to are the family crypts and very old gravestones so it well worth the climb up. Add the other war cemetery to your list whilst you’re here.

From the cemetery you can enjoy a magnificent view of the city below and the surrounding area. Remarkable period tombs: certainly worth visiting.

very strange to visit a cemetery where disrespectful people take photos! you have to take a short walk to get there but upon arrival there is a beautiful landscape. There are very large tombs, some are abandoned, which is a shame.

I didn't go to the cemetery, but I'll write about the spot overlooking the old town from the hilltop next to it.
To get a bird's-eye view of the old town, you'll have to be from the north side, but you can get there by walking up and up the maze of the old town.
There are benches, so it's a good place to take a leisurely break and enjoy the spectacular view.

I found the grave after some exploration. I am Welsh and passionate about rugby. I am following Wales around France in their quest to win the 2023 RWC. I have posted this to help others.
To find the grave - The entrance to the section of the grave yard that you want is to the right of the main entrance.
Don’t go up the steps to the main grave yard but go to the right. You will find the entrance to a lower grave yard section with a statue of a young William Webb Ellis. Enter this lower section and follow be signs. I have posted pictures of the entry and the current opening times.
I hope others on their RWC quest find this information useful as I had some difficulty finding the grave from the angle that I had approached the grave yard.
I hope Wales win the RWC and

Nous sommes allés cet après midi ,mais nous n'avons pas trouvé ce monument ,avez une photo ou une précision à me donner (j'étais en compagnie d'un vieil Anglais originaire de Rugby en pèlerinage ,à la recherche de ses racines !!)
