A wonderful market experience and great cooking class. We’ve taken many cooking classes as we’ve traveled around the world. Rosa’s was the best! She’s a gifted teacher and gave just the right mix of talking and participating. Food was delicious. I plan to make all the recipes when back home in California. .

Participated today in an amazing tour/class with Les Petits Farcis -- Rosa is so welcoming, knowledgeable and has a wonderful sense of humor. We started the morning with Rosa escorting us through Nice's Cours Saleya market -- looking for the best in strawberries, artichokes, cheeses and new spring onions. Her knowledge of each of the best vendors, types of produce and how to select the tastiest options made the group feel like seasoned locals. Her kitchen is a short walk from the market through a lovely historic neighborhood and she shared a brief overview of Nice's history along the way. Rosa's kitchen is comfortable, well-stocked and clean, and her staff so welcoming. Through each dish, the instructions were easy to understand and even the most intimidating task for a non-cook turned out highly successful. Our menu accommodated identified food allergies while still highlighting the best of Nicoise cuisine classics. Lunch included a lovely arugula and artchoke salad; pan-fried cod with potatoes, celery root and peas; a cheese course that sampled all of the local favorites; and a strawberry shortcake confection that couldn't be beat. All of that and a nice bottle of Provence rose and good conversation -- you can't ask for better. Run, don't walk to this amazing treat for any visitor to Nice!

What do you give a dear friend for his big birthday when he has everything and he is into cooking? Rosa's cooking experience in lovely old Nice! Rosa's class from shopping with her at the market in the old town to story-telling about the area to charming French country cozy setup in her studio kitchen to prepping and chopping and cooking and smelling all the aromas and sharing laughs and enjoying the prepared meal over wine with your friends, chef Rosa and her loyal helper/son Sam - that is the gift that keeps on giving! We loved it, the birthday boy loved it, and anyone taking this class will love it, too!

That was an unique experience. The lesson starts at the tradional market in Nice’s old town and continues at a super cute atelier of Rosa. Her kitchen is so well organized and tidy. I’m a bad cook but it was so even I felt that I can cook something delicious. She is a wonderful chef. Cooking never been so much fun. Then the lesson ended by eating all the goodies we cooked. Yumm.

I was very lucky to experience three classes with Rosa at Les Petits Farcis, and look forward to taking more classes online with her in the Fall. The Cours Saleya market tour, cooking class and lunch was one of the best meals I had in 11 days in Nice! I can't recommend her classes enough - just look at the photos to see why!

I so loved Rosa's live classes, especially the Liberation Market tour and Lunch, that I was a bit skeptical of a Zoom class. But how wrong I was! 8 of us gathered in our own kitchens and having bought ingredients ahead, proceeded to make what seemed like complicated dishes with ease, thanks to Rosa's patient tutelage and patience. We were amazed at the professional results, which I have since duplicated myself to perfection. And it was fun! A wonderful couple of hours where we could also see and catch up w/family/friends on both coasts. The delicious repast was a bonus--no need to cook dinner. Rosa is a warm and engaging Cordon Bleu-trained chef who injects stories and history of Nice during her classes so that you feel you have had more than just a cooking class. We all can't wait to take more of Rosa's classes and when guidance permits, I will be first in line to take her amazing in person classes in Nice!

Over the years, I've done a number of Petits Farcis in-person cooking classes, but this last year, I have loved doing the Zoom classes. I have done at least 20 of them and learned so many fantastic recipes. Every recipe is a hit and I've made some at least 10 times. What is interesting about the Zoom classes, is that you have to do everything yourself, in your own kitchen, with your own things and that way you really learn each step. My husband, who would not call himself a foodie, always wonders on Saturday's if I'm doing a Petits Farcis class as he so looks forward to what comes out of the kitchen. And friends and family (when we can gather!!) always ask if I can make one of the dishes from my French cooking class. Highly recommend these classes and the wine paring piece that is along with the class is also terrific. Thank you Rosa! Can't wait for the next class!

Having taken one of Rosa's classes in person and now two online, I can say both are experiences not to be missed. Naturally, being in Nice is preferred, but her online classes offered through Zoom are the next best thing. You get food, you get wine, you get a bit of a look into other people's kitchens! What's not to love? Rosa is a pro. The prep instructions for the classes are sent a week in advance with very clear directions as to what needs to be done beforehand. The classes are engaging, lively, and filled with cooking tips and stories of Nice. Going into 2021, I'll be taking more classes until I can get back to Nice.

If you love Nice and want to get a flavor of this delicious city, Les Petits Farcis is a must on your schedule.
A walk in the Cours Saleya market with historic talk of the city is first and then eventually back to the cooking
studio to prepare the menu with foods bought at the market. Viktorija was our guide as Rosa was on holiday.
She was fantastic. We learned so many little helpful cooking tips. But the best part was eating our creations.

The Saleya market tour and day of cooking was a great way to get familiar with the markets in Nice and the Nicoise cooking style. We picked up produce, cheese and wine and had a quick coffee before heading to the cooking studio for the day. Rosa is very kind and knowledgeable about the region and its food. It was a laid-back atmosphere with other food enthusiasts - food, wine and fun. If you enjoy quality food and cooking, this is a great way to spend a day in Nice!
