Le vallon des Auffres est un coin assez original : un petit « village » se cache sous un pont. L’eau offre un beau panel de bleu.

Quelle déception ! Nous avons été surpris par la saleté du sentier et du port.
Crottes de chien, déchets flottants, odeur d'urine.
Bref nous avons fui . Pensant déjeuner chez FONFON, nous avons préféré partir.
Les bâtiments des restaurant sont sales et ne donnent pas envie.
Un tel lieu mériterait une charte de qualité en place, des contrôles d'hygiène.

Borgo pescatori visitabile in bus.... C'è un arco per i caduti sul mare..... Poi un porticciolo con tanti ristoranti..... Bel panorama sulle isolette.....

Visiter Marseille c'est descendre au Vallon des Auffes pour son authenticité et déjeuner sur place dans un des restaurants (prix pour diverses bourses). On a l'impression de ne plus être à Marseille.

Vallon des Auffes is really no different from any other of the places along this beautiful coastline. I walked 1.5 hours from Parc Balneaire du Prado to Le Vieux Port and all the views I saw were as spectacular as each others. There is also a very significant WW1 monument here that is also worth seeing (separate review).

Not too special during the day it seems. but when the sun sets, the combincation of the bridge, the sun, the water... the momument, it all comes together and is beatiful to see and enjoy.

Nous avons redécouvert ce vallon ou petit port toujours dans son jus d'origine agrémenté de ces habitations particulières et donnant sur la mer. L'autre côté valorisant du vallon reste l'épuisette haut lieu de la gastronomie locale.

which restaurant? there are 2 or 3 in the vallon...you have pizzeria chez jeannot, chez fonfon and l'epuisette. All of which you can google for the address :)

Hotel Peron is ca.5-6 minutes walking, with beautiful views to the see. Haven't stayed there but have seen as we were walking back from the Vallon des Auffes. It looked nice from outside! There is a very good bus connection which is going between the old port and prado beach, stops also at the hotel and at the vallon.

Sure there is a bus, but I don't remember the number; more trhan 1 bus passes Vallon des Auffes! And there are several good restaurants at any price too!
