Notre guide, Rachel, était très souriante et compétente, malgré une pluie battante au départ de Lyon nous avons pu admirer le Château de Pizay, remplir un questionnaire oenologique très intéressant et ludique et ensuite aller découvrir une exploitation à Fleurie et déguster une demi douzaine de vins délicieux - mes amis américains m'ont dit qu'ils garderaient un souvenir émerveillé de cette journée

Our guide/driver, Clemence, was friendly and knowledgeable, but difficult to hear in the van. She needs a microphone so those of us in the back of the van can hear better. We visited the Chateau de Pizay and the Christophe Savoye wineries. The do-it-yourself wine tour at Chateau de Pizay was interesting and fun, but awkward to do. We got to keep the wine glass. The Savoye was more of a traditional wine tasting and the quality of wines was much better, also. The tour is a great way to learn about the Beaujolais wine region.

Very pleasant drive through southern Beaujolais country in November mist. Visited one small winery and beautiful medieval village of Oingt.
Driver, guide also served some wine and bread in the mist.

The winetasting was an absolutely beautiful experience. Two different wine yards were visited. Meanwhile, the guide provided a lot of information and had an answer to every question.

This is a great tour. Our guide François was knowledgeable, friendly, interesting and a very good driver. He gave us a great overview of the area as we drove through gorgeous terrain to Oingt, a delightful tiny village high up on a hill.
After tasting some wine on a beautiful hill facing an amazing view in Oingt, we visited a lovely family winery, where we went out into the vineyard, tasted the grapes and learned how they tend and grow the vines. The wine-tasting afterwards was delicious, with a small snack of meat and cheese and bread.
We were back in Lyon by early afternoon. It was a perfect way to get a glimpse of the Beaujolais wine and wine-making area.
I highly recommend this tour.

Claire was an outstanding guide with excellent English. The tour was well paced covering the regional dishes, the origins of the bouchons. And the importance of Paul Bocuse in the hierarchy of restaurants in Lyon. Although it might seem expensive we thought it provided good value with thoughtfully selected tastings. The market itself was a joy to visit - very well laid out and highly tempting offerings. Highly recommended

I took a solo trip to the vineyard as part of a group of 9, it was very personal and I had a great time and was the best way to spend a Sunday morning
