Sorry for the late reply. The buses can be found right after you step out of the Baden Baden train station. It will take you to the station of the funicular. You will need to swipe your ticket once to validate for the whole day. Going back is also very simple. The bus was waiting outside once you exit the Merkur mountain area. You can stop anywhere and hop back on at the nearest bus station. We stopped and had a Black Forest cake, bought some souvenirs before taking another bus back to the Baden Baden station. The returning bus from the center area is a lot easier as there are quite a few bus stations that have buses going back to the train station.

Hi I apologise for not getting back to you, earlier I am unsure however I presume it operates through the entire year with exception of Christmas day. I may be wrong.

I would say about 1 hour and 30 minutes and just looked at Google maps and it thinks about the same. It's well sign posted so easy to find.

Lots of parking, I was there really off-season so probably busy from May - September.
